Sound, fundamental color commentating is a thing of the past.

Never is this more evident than watching Curt Gowdy and Tony Kubiek on ESPN classic!

Tim McCarver and Joe Buck should take notes!

fish i happen to agree... why dont you?

you think these kids want to be practicing instead at home with their families on christmas eve and day? with the game being now they will done with football for the year and can go home like the rest of the college kids.

i think it makes perfect sense

He says the strangest things. My guess he starts talking not quite knowing what he is saying and it just goes. Sad thing is he misses alot of what's going on listening to himself talk. Case in point in the 2nd quarter BG declines a holding penalty on 2nd and 10 to make it 3rd and 10 instead of 2nd and 20, something that is rarely done. Instead of talking about why or whether it was wise or not I dont think he even knew and it was never mentioned to the viewer because he couldn't stop talking enough to find out what was going on.

He is not too much of a moron because in his pre-game analysis he basically said in so many words to take the OVER. Sad thing is that I've seen more people at Jr. High football games I've coached in, than are at this bowl game.

Davie is brutal for sure.

I miss the good ol' days of Summerall and Brookshier in football and the team of Enberg, Packer and Mcguire in CBB.

Pat and Tom were just like any of us in the booth , sitting there watching the game with a 32 ounce adult beverage and talking football.

He prides himself on being the master of the screen pass. Or so he says.

Basically nobody knows who the hell he is so he made himself an "Expert" on one topic so people would remember who he is :D
