Former Advisor Torches Trump For The 'Insanity' Of His Judgement
During an interview this past week, former Trump official and advisor Sebastian Gorka laid into the former President over his "major announcement" of his NFT collection. Gorka criticized the "insanity" of Trump's political judgement, but this move is probably the most Trump-like thing that the former President has ever done. Farron Cousins discusses this.
*This transcript was auto-generated. Please excuse any typos. Donald Trump's n F T collection. And I almost hate to keep talking about it, but I kind of have to because all of Trump's favorite people are still talking about it because they're all still furious about it. They are angry that he played his entire bass for fools, especially when he's running a third presidential campaign, that he appears to be doing absolutely nothing with one of the people who has now spoken out against Donald Trump. For the sheer insanity of this N F T announcement is none other than former Trump advisor Sebastian Gorka. And here is what Gorka had to say about this. Who the hell had the idea for this N F T thing? And I get a response from the team, no names saying, oh, it's a business partner of the president. The sheer insanity. We need serious people because the republic's fabric is in danger. Okay? Don't agree with that last part. Like, well, I mean, to a degree it is in danger, but it's in danger from people like you, Seb. But other than that, yeah, you're right. Like this was insane. Donald Trump on Wednesday, teases out with world needs a superhero, get a major announcement coming, and then the next day it's hoo bye. My NFTs. And people did. They sold out. Every one of them is gone because his base is that stupid. But the real people, the people that matter, the people that have advised him, the people that know him, the people that understand him are furious that he would do this. Ye have another one. Former Trump, Steve Cortez said that Trump has lost focus and should be focusing all of his political capital on real domestic issues and not pointless self-promotion. He said that actually in an interview with Steve man, uh, uh, with Seb Gorka, excuse me. Oh no, it was Steve Bannon was there too. So they're all. But here's the thing. Like he, why would he do this self-promotion? Have y'all never met him? like this honestly is the most Trump thing that Donald Trump has ever done. There is nothing surprising about it. The only thing surprising is that y'all are surprised he did it. This is who he is. This is what he does. It's all self-promotion. It's all about making money. There is nothing Trump cares more about in the world than lining his pockets. So why are you suddenly like, oh, I can't believe he would do this. This is insane. No, this is par for the course folks. This is Trump doing what Trump does best conning stupid people out of their money. And he did a good job of it. I mean, it didn't even take 24 hours for the stupid things to sell out. So if you wanna be shocked, understand that you're only pretending to be Shocked because you haven't been paying attention for the last, I don't know, all of Trump's life. This is who he is and this is what he does. You also know, and this is an interesting point, uh, to bring up as well, cuz this goes to the heart of the campaign and why they make stupid decisions like this. It was revealed a couple weeks ago that Donald Trump does not want to have a traditional campaign manager. He is also turning away all of the, uh, people that he's kind of had in the past. You know, the smarter people who know what they're doing and he's bringing in or has brought in, um, a bunch of people who've never worked on campaigns before. So that's why we see these stupid decisions because he's surrounded himself with nothing but yes men. So that's Trump's goal. He doesn't want anybody that's gonna push back. He only wants people that are gonna tell him how brilliant he is and how great his ideas are. So when he comes up with something stupid like this, nobody in that campaign is gonna push back on it. So get ready, because this I think was probably just the first of many very stupid things we will see coming out of this Trump campaign.
