Donald Trump is such a cancer for the Republican Party that he is causing loyal Republican donors to hold back their support for other candidates, and this is leaving swing state Republicans with little to no money at all. This is exactly what Republicans in Washington, D.C. have been worried about, and now their worst fears have been confirmed. There won't be enough money to go around, and that could cost the GOP everything in 2024, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

According to new reports, Donald Trump's presence in the Republican party is causing long time high rolling Republican donors to say, no, we're not giving the Republicans any more money, because this guy is absolutely toxic. And essentially, it would be a waste for us to open up our checkbooks, give you money when he's gonna drag everybody else down on the ticket. Specifically, according to a report from Reuters, this is happening in two very vital swing states for Republicans, Arizona, and Michigan. One Michigan donor, who by the way last year gave four and a half million dollars to the state's Republican party, said, I question whether the state party has the necessary expertise to spend the money. Well meaning he's worried that if I give you this money, you're gonna use it to promote the crazy guy, and then you're gonna cause everybody to lose. So why would I give you my money? Why would I give you another four and a half million dollars when you clearly don't know what you're doing with it? As a result, in Arizona, the G O P had cash reserves of less than $50,000. At the end of March, Michigan's GOP's account had $116,000. So like they, they don't even have enough cash on hand to buy a condo, let alone run campaigns for Republican can that it's all throughout their state. Sure, things will change. It's early in the cycle, right? But you already have Republican candidates that are getting exceptionally annoyed about the fact that the G O P in Michigan and Arizona doesn't have enough cash to do anything for them. We can't print out mailers, we can't print out flyers. I can't hire a staff at a local office to start doing anything for me because we have no money, because the donors are running away because Donald Trump has scared 'em all off. And Arizona and Michigan, as I mentioned, those are swing states. Those are important swing states for Republican candidates. Joe Biden carried both of those states in 2020. And the, you know, combined power of those two states, of course, is what led Joe Biden to become the president. Not only that, especially in Arizona, we're gonna have a contentious Senate race. We're gonna have an independent, uh, uh, um, oh my God, I don't know why I'm forgetting her name right now. Um, I can picture her clear as day. But anyway, uh, she's being challenged by Kirsten Sinema. Wow. Don't know why that name escaped me, but we got Kirsten SMA running as an independent, which could siphon off votes from Democrat g uh, Ruben Gallego. We might have Kerry Lake entering that Senate race as well. And if Sinema siphons off enough votes from Gallego, that could lead to a Republican victory. But not if they don't have any money, and probably not if they put up somebody like Kerry Lake. So this is why the Republicans are freaking out. And it's also worth pointing out that you've had Republicans in DC right? The, the so-called normal ones warning that this kind of thing was gonna happen if we put Trump at the top of the ticket. If he is still out there, he is gonna chase off our donors. Well, guess what he is. And your party's paying the price for it by no longer being able to pay the price for it. Quite literally, you're running out of money in states that you have to win. States that if you do not win, you have no chance of victory in 2024. And all I can say to this is, you the Republican Party absolutely deserve every horrible thing coming your way because you did this to yourselves. Thanks for watching everyone, and well, here comes the awkward part.
