Ok, title said what is all about. Question is: Now when we have the tool, can we really put it to a good use?
I've made this Poisson calculator (among other tools in a bunch) and from a mathematical point it is flawless, but in the real world it still needs to prove itself.
The thing is, if we know that teams have no injured players, no coach is under pressure of getting fired, nobody's wife messed around... so the terms are regular as they can be.. how far then advanced math can go? In my experience - all the way.
But I am a mathematician, so.. I cannot be trusted.. face)(*^%
