Blackjack is 2.55% hold only because many people don't know how to play it right. Just playing correctly brings it to less than 1% and by counting cards one can have the advantage over the house.

CORRECTION:

Pure mathematical house advantage for Blackjack is what you are speaking of.

With newer rules introduced, who knows?

"CASINO HOLD", as has been stated, is at least 40%. This includes all forms of ignorance on display by the players.

Now.... A game produces a casino hold of at least 40%... And the house continues to modify the rules to screw the public even more? Interesting to say the least.

P.S. If you have to ask about the changes the last few years to make this game more difficult for the players....
Then you are not a BJ player!

I mean with dealer sticking on soft 17 and other normal old school rules. Even better if they allow you to...i forget the name....let's call it resign..and get half your original bet back. Anyhow, if you know how to play, and play with the rules I am talking about, blackjack is beatable if you count cards....and the hold % advantage for the house is very little (mabye .5%) without counting cards.

To nimue77

No offense....

Obviously you have not played SERIOUS blackjack.

Let it be known they you really believe what you said in your last post, and...

If you put money in the cage any major casino in Vegas will send a jet for you.

No big deal though. That is how they continue to build these monuments. (Hotels)
By misleading the public and taking advantage of all of the weaknesses in human nature.!
