I agree you have to give Ohio St a pass...

Also, people are giving the trophy to Fla St,Oregon or Alabama.

Don't be surprised if either Texas A&M...Wisconsin or Oklahoma are 1 of the teams holding the trophy.

Just my opinion.

Biggest surprise to me is Texas A&M ans Mississippi State, not really any disappointments as everyone is what I thought they were. As far as tOSU they are where they should be in the polls imo. They lost just about the entire offense from last year and quite a few on the defense. How they were ranked so high was a surprise to me, personally do not think they would be much better with Milller at QB, great runner but just not a good over all QB. I preferred Kenny G last year and would rather have this freshman on the field that is currently playing. Changes the whole offensive philosophy opposed to miller running every down...

Still not a fan of UM either, has bumped up the recruiting but imo has not been able to bring in a good staff but he is working on it with the addition of Ash and Robinson. Not a fan of Herman OC or Warinner on OL.. i understand they have a new O Line but christ they could not make in game adjustment to handle VT blitz all night and that is all VT did. Man up on the outside and sent everyone.. many ways to beat that defense starting with screens and neither Herman or Warinner could get their thumb out of their ass to adjust to it..horrible staff over all and that is all on UM... its hard for me to watch them anymore.. just my 2 cents.

I will add that I was impressed to watch football today and see either 5 or 6 rookies playing extensively in the NFL today that were buckeys, athletes are there but not so sure about the coaching... people hated tressel and he did himself in over "tattoo gate" but i would much rather have him then UM..

I loved tress. Best coach we ever had. Like you said players continued to get better with him. Not seeing enough of that right now.

I'm going to add CAL. Flying under the radar but considering they were 1-11 last year, getting off to a 3-1 start and very well could have been 4-0 if it were not for a Zona hail mary at the gun. No one has stopped that "Bear-Raid" offense so far as they've been running and throwing it all over the lot so far. Season is just starting but its going to get tougher now as they get Wazzu, then UW, UCLA, Oregon, Oregon St, USC, Stan, and BYU. The need 3 wins to get bowl eligible so next week at Wazzu is critical for them.

here's the biggest change from preseason (this source i'm not sure how much his preseason differs from last year's final. maybe not much).

improvement (GS is miles ahead of any other team in terms of moving up):

Georgia Southern
Memphis
Virginia
Temple
Akron
Maryland
Kentucky
Air Force
New Mexico State
North Carolina State
California
Texas-El Paso
Alabama-Birmingham
Colorado State
Arkansas
Old Dominion
Florida International
Mississippi
Georgia State
Western Michigan

deterioration (worst at bottom:

South Carolina
Rice
Navy
Texas Tech
Tulane
Nevada-Las Vegas
Utah State
Central Florida
Fresno State
Idaho
San Jose State
Connecticut
Ball State
Tulsa
Michigan
Louisiana-Lafayette
Southern Methodist
Kent
Vanderbilt
Troy

don't agree totally with my source, but it's easy to work with and the names are generally right.
