2004: 5-3

After a brutal beat on Seton Hall, I'm back after picking up a huge ML parlay tuesday night. 3 Big 10 games for you, writeups to come tomorrow.

WISCONSIN -2
NWESTERN +12.5
MINNESOTA +3

no lean on the IU game, feel the line is about right, expect IU to win by 2-8. Ewing is out tomorrow, but he doesn't play too much anyhow, though he should get some more minutes.

WISCONSIN -2

Wisconsin comes into this game off a bad loss @Northwestern while Iowa comes in off a big win @Indiana. Wisconsin was without starting G Boo Wade(33 mpg) who returns tonight. Iowa went 7 deep saturday in a double overtime game. Subs played a combined 17 minutes.

Wisconsin has an extremely smart team who runs a very good offense. The guards will penetrate and they will attack inside. Wiscy will be looking to draw fouls, Iowa has no answer if they get into foul trouble, they have no depth whatsoever. On the other hand, Wisconsin is very deep. If Iowa can keep thier 5 players on the floor the whole game, then they may have a chance, but they will also be very tired at the end. Wiscy will wear them down.

NORTHWESTERN +12.5

Northwestern comes off a big win against Wisconsin, while Purdue is coming off a loss. Purdue is not a team that puts up many points, most of thier games are in the low 60s or even 50s. Covering 12.5 is going to be very tough for them. Northwestern is 4-5 in the Big10 this year and has been pretty solid, beat Illinois and winning at Iowa. Northwestern has a lot of solid players, mostly foreigners. Kenneth Lowe might be back tonight, but according to my sources he may hold out until saturday. Either way 12.5 is too much for the low scoring Boilermakers to be giving.

MINNESOTA +3

This line is already down to 1. Minnesota will finally get thier first Big 10 win.

I am probably going to play teh 3 unranked favs tonight also, but going to call them in local. Later

Indiana vs Penn State (No Play)

Indiana comes into this game off 2 2 pt losses at home and this game becomes a must win. AJ Moye has been all over the team and I expect a better effort tonight, I dont think Moye will let them lose. Patrick Ewing Jr will miss tonights game, but he wasnt playing too much anyhow, so this isnt a big deal. Donald Perry and George Leach need to be successful for IU to cover this game. Donald Perry has been playing the point very poorly. He needs to attack the basket and Leach, well he just needs to learn how to catch and dunk.

Indiana plays better on the road this year it seems, and some of the players have said they are more comfortable on the road. Bracey Wright is one of these. He shoots around 50% on the road, while he shoots around 30% at home. Pretty strange huh? The sad thing is IU has had terrible fans this year who love to yell at Bracey and also Donald Perry, George Leach, and Sean Kline. It definately affects some of them, I wouldnt think it would affect Bracey, but apparently it does. Marshall Strickland has also said he is more comfortable away from Assembly Hall. The team seems to attack more on the road, while at Assembly they are afraid to mess up and hear the boos.

Penn State has a great inside player in Jan Jagla who tore up IU last year. (30 pts 15 rebs I believe) He will tear them up again this year if given the chance. I watched Penn State play Purdue and Penn st took quick outside shots most of the game, if they do this, IU will win by 15. Penn State also lost thier 2nd leading scorer, and I believe he was the leading rebounder and assist man. He was a 6'8 PF, he transferred in early January. I think IU wins this game, but I expect it to be close. I think IU could be a play on the road at Purdue on saturday actually. IU will be getting 8 or so, and it is hard for Purdue to cover anything. Some more info on the IU game

Rod Wilmont will start in place of Donald Perry. This is a very good thing in my opinion for IU.

I really like Penn State plus the points tonight. IU has zero inside game and will have a hard time with Jagla. I was surprised how little of an inside game IU has when watching them vs Iowa.

Jagla thinks he is Dirk, he has a 10 inch height advantage and shoots 3s the whole game. Bracey once again plays great on the road.

2 dogs win outright, Northwestern the big +12.5 dog winner, told you Purdue couldn't score enough to cover that #, 39 LOL. Too bad Wiscy screwed me down the stretch, up 10 with 5 mins to go and win by 2. oh well

Fairwarning- I just noticed your post was 44 minutes after the tip, Penn State was down around 15 by this time, I hope you didnt call this into your local and take the points, while he was on the other end laughing his ass off.
