Guys, I need to make a ruling on 2 plays made on the Pitt/Wash game which was switched to an early start for NBC. I didn't realize until just now that the posted time was wrong. The new start time (updated above) was 12:35 ET.
wiskers1 made a play on that game at 12:32 ET and dr. chau made a play at 12:45 ET. Both were made on time based on the original start time but late due to the change. Obviously, the game is over and both plays would result in wins (+100).
It was an honest mistake made by all but I feel the player should shoulder a certain amount of responsibility here. By rule, plays must be posted 5 minutes prior to posted start time, which both posters did, but the time change resulted in them both being late.
I feel the best way to handle this is to give each a push, thus credit for a play made. I regret that I was not aware of the time change in time to alert everyone but I can't always be on call here. I would ask that in the future, if anyone sees a change of this nature, that he make a post in the thread alerting everyone to the fact ahead of time so we can avert having to deal with this again.
