This season according to his quality and possibilities till now has been disappointing enough, just a couple of wins in Auckland and right here in Acapulco where he beated two very tough players like Nalbandian on the first round playing an amazing match and as well Granollers that is always not easy to face and a player that doesn't give rhythm and let you play on a badly way, but Santi did a great job as well on that match.
Verdict: Santiago Giraldo as most of the player that have a riskful game needs to be in confidence to play at his best and right now on this tournament he seems really on fire, playing his best tennis on a surface which he likes to play although his very offensive game that let give him more easy points on a faster surface.
Giraldo hates mostly the players that always fight to put back each ball and for sure Berlocq isn't really that kind, because although is still a solid player, defensively is not so good and regular as others.
Giraldo as well had not so great season and being in a great shape like he showed on the first two rounds he will be surely in confidence and very motivated to go ahead on the tournament here, on the other side Berlocq already did some important results on the South American clay tour as runner up in Vina del Mar and might not be on his top shape according that is not easy to play with the same intensity and reaching the same results for a long month.
Giraldo in shape absolutely the better player here, the one with more quality and the one which will "make" the game that will depend much more on his performance because will be the player to make the winners and unforced errors.
Saw during the first two rounds as said a player in confidence, with better qualities regarding the other and like underdog on this match it's another must we have to do.
