Each week the Parx NJ selects one NFL game where they double the spread on an underdog. Today for instance I had the Broncos +8. On Sunday I have the Giants +11. They let you bet these games at -110. Depending on your status there they might let you bet anywhere from $25-$100. In my case I can only bet $25 but in previous years it was $50. So you are saying great. You have to be winning this season. I know in the NFL that the spread rarely matters. Just pick the right side and you will cover. The dog will win straight up or the favorite covers. But I'm getting double points so I should do extremely well as on average. if you bought the points you would be laying anywhere from -170 to -230. So how am I doing. I am 5-10 so far this year with the Giants pending. Just incredible. Last week they offered a special triple the spread on the Eagles. I had the Eagles +10.5. at -110. If you bought the points at the Parx it was -315. This is just mind boggling. I know it's short term but it's crazy. I have such a huge edge with this prop. In the past they used to give you one college and one pro. The college games were so juicy that I went for middles. Hard to pass up 7-14 on college games when you can bet $50 each way. Look at the key numbers I had 7,10,11,14. Never hit enough middles to make it more profitable than just betting the double point spread. This year I bet one middle. I just hated the NFL side the Parx was offering. I was right. The favorite won easy and I just lost the juice. So hop on the Saints on Sunday. I am expecting another blowout and another loss.
