(ARod adds more spark to the team from a headlines perspective but I don't think the team needed to score more runs.)

Yankees lost the WS last year because they couldnt score runs. Thney will not have any problems this year. They arguably have the best 2-3-4-5 in the history of baseball with - Jeter- Arod (best in the game now) - Giambi - Sheffield. The 3-4-5 may hit 45 HR's each. Jeter will score over 140 runs if he stays healthy (which he usually does). Try pitching to Arod when Jeter is on base knowing Giambi and Sheffield are right behind him. How many RBI's will Giambi or Sheffield or Arod have. they might have 120 each. Who are you pitching around in that lineup?

Don;t forget the Yankees may have the best bullpen in baseball this season. Some great acqusitions to the pen.

Kevin Brown wont have a 14-11 record with a 2.32 era this season. he will win 20 games with a 3.00 era if he can stay healthy.

We all know what Mussina can do and will do.

Vazquez is the best of the bunch.

But this thread was a LINEUP question and if anyone can say that Bostons lineup can compare with this years Yankee line up must be a HUGE homer or the biggest Yankee Hatewr in the land.

3- Arod
4- Giambi
5- Sheffield

Terrifying!
