Uh oh you posted this in the Rubber Room. Not sure what kinda answers youre going to get.

But to answer the question I'd go the fish, turkey and skinless chicken route. Cant build muscle without protein.

Pig...you need to put lean meats (chicken, turkey, fish) and protein shakes #1 on that list

My experience with Flaxseed seems to be gaining weight. I would sprinkle it on my oatmeal, ceral and salads. Now i've cut it down to just whatever comes with the ceral I buy containing Flax.

I stopped using it and have been averaging 2lbs a week for 3 straight weeks now.

I am not overweight (6'4" 235lbs), just wanted to see what 220 lbs felt like again. That would be my ideal weight.

I went from lifting 5 days a week to the following schedule:
(12 is target)
Monday all for 3 sets and 12 reps
Bench Press
Incline Dumbell Flys
Military Press
Overhead Dumbell Extension
Aerobic Work 20-30 minutes

Wednesday
Squat
Lunge Squat
Leg Curl
Pull Down
Seated Row
Barbell Curl
Aerobic 20-30 minutes

Friday
Decline Bench Press
Full Lateral Raise
Shoulder Flies3
Pull Ups

Triceps Pushdown
Aerobic 20-30 Minutes

rest 1-2 minutes between sets, and one quick warm up set before each with 50% of your 12 rep weight. Start each workout with 5 minutes on treadmill or other machine.

Do abs 1 time a week and count that as 10 minutes of my cardio for that day. I am a little shakey on the cardio right now, can do 2 miles in about 20 minutes on the treadmill. I also switch in the Olyptical. Pretty much tryo to burn a minimum of 350 - 500 calories per 30 minutes session.

I eat 3 meals a day with 2 protein shakes in between meals. Breakfast/Shake/Lunch/Shake/Workout/Dinner

Do very little on Tuesday and Thursdays.

Breakfast consists of 1 of the 3--Oatmeal, Cereal or Yogart (include blueberries with all 3)
Lunch is a wrap -- lite turkey, Tuna or PB and J...i cut out the bread and use wraps now
Dinner is a big salad with Peppers, Onions, egg whites, cheese, tomatoes and a cut up chicken breast (2-3 days a week) Also eat tuna casserole, fish or pork for my other dinners. My sides are usually rice, broccoli sugar snap peas or corn.

Snack foods include chips and salsa, ranch wheat thins, baby carrots apples and almonds, peacans or walnuts.

I gave up pizza 2/1/07 and havent had it since. Gave up fast food 1/1/2005, and drink maybe 2 sodas a month.

If i could give up Friday happy hours and saterday drinkfests, I could probably reach my goal by summer, but hammering beer on the weekends is what is holding me back now.

i just returned to lifting myself.(44yo) i use to do a lot of running so it was impossible for me to gain weight, but i started using BSN cell mass and BSN n.o explode and i have gained a scarey amount of weight. 8lbs in 3 weeks on a lean body that rarely fluctuates in weight. no explode i am sure will soon be illegal. i don't know whats in it but my workouts are insane using the stuff. skip the healthy diet and just use these products. more info herehttp://www.bodybuilding.com/

I knew this kid at an old job I had.

He was really into weight lifting. He was Muscular as hell.

This is what he ate every single freaking day: Pasta with chunks of chicken. No flavoring at all. No sauce. Nothing. Every day. Pieces of cut up chicken and pasta that had been boiled and strained.

I started to tease him (of course I didnt tease him too much because he could kick my ass in mere seconds) I was like "Jerry youre having weight lifter food AGAIN?!" He would just laugh a little.

And he got everything to go down with a big 'ol bottle of water. He did this for months on end.

If that's all he ever ate, he must have been singing a sad tune in the john. :ohno:

Stop wasting your money. From the list of foods you described (with the addition of chicken or fish), you have a balanced diet that has every vitamin, mineral and protein needed to build muscle and be healthy.

Eat a ton of protein. about 1.5-2 grams per pound of bodyweright and alot of complex carbs( baked potatos, yams, pasta) Throw some steak in there too.

Its hard to eat clean and get the necesary calorie requiremtns to build muscle. don't be afraid to eat some stuff that does have fat but just make sure it has alot of protein too. Like McDonalds a couple times a week or something.
