What tops the Cubs giving up 6 runs in the 9th to the Rockies tonight to blow an 8-3 lead?

thats nothing....

theres been tons of NBA games with 20+ point leads blown in the 4th quarter

the Sox over Yanks in 2004

UNC beats Duke when they were down 8 with 17 seconds left, no shot clock, dont remember year...'76 maybe

I wanna say the Indians came back or blew a 10 run lead late one game in the last 10 years or so

huge list

I think Goosen missed like a 2 foot putt to win the US Open several years ago

Knicks when Reggie punk'd them in something like 8 seconds.

Van De Velde maybe the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Jean Van de Velde at the British

Clemens back when he was with Bos blew a 10 run lead against NYY

Oilers v. Bills playoff game

Blazers v. Lakers game 7

Red Sox blowing 14 game August lead to NYY in 1978

Phillies lost something like 10 of last 12 to blow an 8 or so game lead in 1964 (I think)

Cubs blowing huge lead to NYM in 1969

Greg Norman at the Masters to Faldo, entered up 4 or 5 strokes ended up losing by like 4 or 5.

Thanks for reminding me...Gene Mauch's Phils blew a 6.5 game lead with 10 to play....and the amazing thing is they won their last two games in Cincy while St. Louis was beating the hapless Mets...1964, remember it like it was yesterday, Bunning and Short couldn't get it done, although the Phils did h:puke1: ave the rookie of the year with Richie Allen....

Nope to all of the above. Think about it for a minute if you're a veteran RXer.

Somebody posted a Thread on it earlier this year - Think it was "The Greatest Comeback in Sports History". (too busy to Search)

Plano East High School in 1984 Texas state championship scores like four touchdowns in the last four minutes to go ahead by three with six seconds left.

Then they kick off and the John Tyler dude returns it 100 yards.

Classic closing line from the yokel announcing team from Plano.

"Oh my God, I think I'm going to be sick".

I have seen that video barman, it is ridiculous, they recovered like 3 or 4 straight onside kicks.

Giants WS game 6 v. Angels - Dusty giving Ortiz the ball. Idiot.

Yeah, but the choke was on Plano East as they got the four TD rally and then gagged the final kickoff defense.

I also remember it. I hope someone hid the knives in the announcers house for a few days, because he was having a serious meltdown.
