What do you guys think over/under 5.5. I already know pretty much everyone will say under cuz theyre the bengals, but I thought I'd throw it up for discussion.
I have read pretty much every article on the Bengals, and there is definately a new attitude. Marvin Lewis seems like the real deal and I feel they will be competitve in every game. 6 wins I believe is very possible.
The offense was clicking for the most part at the end of the year. WR Chad Johnson could be a pro bowler next year, Peter Warrick and 3rd rounder Kelly Washington will fill out a solid WR corps. Dillon is Dillon. The line is now pretty solid with the addition of 2nd rounder Steinbach who was a top 15 talent. How many INTs will Kitna throw is the question.
The defense is revamped. New players brought in all over the place. Kevin Hardy arrives to man the middle. Duane Clemons and Carl Powell(a few NFL personell man have said this was a steal, I have my doubts), add to the line. Tory James at CB will be a big addition as will Dennis Weathersby who was a steal in the 4th round, he is already pretty much 100%. The loss of Spikes is big, but I feel Hardy will be able to fill in nicely.
The Bengals werew 17th and 18th offensively and defensivley(those might be switched) yet somehow managed to have the worst record in football??? A couple playoff teams I believe were worse in both categories. The Special Teams coach was axed and that is being revamped as well. This team has a lot of talent, and the offense was playing well at the end of the year, Marvin Lewis should bring the defense up to par.
2003 REGULAR SEASON
DENVER-Win: Think Cincy will be ready at home and Plummer might not be ready with Denver(1-0)
at Oakland-Loss(1-1)
PITTSBURGH:Loss(1-2)
at CLEVELAND:Win: I don't think Cleveland will find a way to win as often as last year(2-2)
at Buffalo: Loss(2-3)
BALTIMORE:Win(3-3)
SEATTLE:Win(4-3)
at Arizona:Win(5-3)
HOUSTON:Win(6-3) man is this stretch easy or what, only the Bengals can screw this up-and they will!
KANSAS CITY:Loss (6-4)
at San Diego
at Pitt
at Baltimore:4 straight losses have brought the Bengals back to reality, now at 6-7
NINERS:Loss(6-8)
at Rams:Loss (6-9) 6 straight!
BROWNS:Win (7-9)
