Nickythefish said it best but there's been some other good input on the latest bulls**t that this city does. I only blame the people that continue to give the casinos any action.

This dive city is the most overated tourist destination in the entire world. Thirty six million people visited this s**thole last year and I have no idea why. Las Vegas is a dirty, filthy city with more low life, scumbag residents than any place in the country. People here are pigs. 95% of the slime here smokes. They litter. They don't now how to drive and they have no manners.

From a tourist stand point, who the hell would want to come here? The rooms are overpriced. The food is decent but has become overpriced. The shows are a joke. They get $50 dollars to see a jag off stage show that went out of style twenty years ago. The sports books won't take a bet. The slots are tighter than ever and now they implement this larceny with the blackjacks. These hotel-casinos are toilets. Some are just nicer toilets than others. They're run by greedy corporations that call a board meeting if someone hits a $20 dollar parlay in the NBA.

Las Vegas is a complete has been in the overall sports betting scene and is heading that way in other areas. The hotels f**k convention goers with exhorbitant room rates and also f**k the tourists any chance they get and they expect people to keep coming back.

I hope this pigsty city gets less and less visitors every year and eventually becomes the biggest ghost town in America.

Unfortunately they'd probably be quite happy to lose all the BJ business and replace the floor space with slots, which have a higher yield per square foot.

I was at the Resorts last Friday in AC Tommy and from what I could tell they were still dealing 3/2. They appear to be a dump but you can't go wrong IMO there.

I didn't get to the Borgata but I'm going to assume they would jump at 6/5 being that they are now the newest and are in the marina district (far enough away from the crap downtown).

I think this article is referring to Vegas. BTW, I've been to Borgata few times since it opened and did not see any 6-5 BJ.

The casinos are greedy, but if people are ignorant enough to play these games, and the CSMs, why wouldn't they offer them.
If the public had an ounce of intelligence, then they would quit playing these games and they would be forced to remove them.

Reminds me of the time this lady walked up to the Big Six wheel. All excitedly she said, "My friend says this is THE game to play, it has the best odds anywhere".

Yes, the players will lose way more at a faster pace, but what you guys seem to not understand is the players will still lose over the long haul whether the odds are 3/2 or 6/5. Don't you guys get it? So what if the house advantage just went from 1.6% to approx 2.4%. They will still lose all their money even if they kept it at 3/2, because of the negative hold for the player. The only thing is that the player will just lose his money at a slower pace had it not changed. So instead of a player going broke after 16,000 hands, he will now go broke after 13,000 hands.. big deal...So the player will still lose it all eventually. It's like saying you will lose in the long haul at sports laying -110 at Olympic, yet win at sports if you get better odds at -107 at Royal. LOL Whether it's -107 or -110, players cannot overcome this if they intend on sitting there day in and day out at the tables.

So who cares about those odds going down to 6/5.. Anyone that sits there at a sino and plays blackjack should have their head examined and deserve to lose.. That's the bottom line..

Sick,
There are many that are able to play blackjack and win.
And there are others that play where the house edge is very small, and they consider this the price for entertainment, drinks, etc.

The house edge is 8 times at 6/5 what it is at 3/2, but it is the public's ignorance in not knowing this.

Single deck blackjack can be a very playable game, and John Q. Public has a small disadvantage, provided he has ANY clue.

6/5 and CSM's

In Response To: 6/5 Blackjack Payout (Jonathan Shelly)

6/5 ploppy ripoff is only at single decks so far, except for the miserable O'Shea's, where they now have a 6/5 double deck ripoff game.

Caesar's Palace recently removed their 6/5 games. There has been a lot of bad publicity locally in recent months about what a scam the 6/5 game is, so maybe it will eventually die out.

CSM's are in many Las Vegas stores, but their use, too, seems to be in decline, though I have no specific numbers. Ploppies seem to dislike them as much as skilled players do.

Unfortunately, some new gaming jurisdictions, like Arizona, have a heavy infestation of CSM's, and the sheep being led to slaughter continue to play them rather than boycotting the worthless CSM games.
