What a shame!

Guy absolutely quit. If he had won, he'd still be fighting.

He got beat cleanly and clearly by Maia. Primarly because of low IQ. Low IQ was the reason he lost the Masvidal fight as well.

How you can be paid several hundred thousands dollars for a singular fight and not study Masvidal's last fight and see that he came out sprinting at Till.... and not even consider that Masvidal would do that and consider the negative consequences if he gets lucky and hits it...

All b/c of low IQ and overconfidence. He beats Masvidal and he gets the title shot. But low IQ -- even though he's a really smart guy -- all the way to the very end.

Hate it when athletes destroy the great chances they have due to stupidity. Like watching a Federer choking session.

Hell, Federer is still going..... and we are guaranteed another massive, hideous choke like Wimbledon 2019.

Do you even follow MMA?

He didn’t lose because of a low IQ, he just wasn’t as good as those guys and he lost. It happens. He’s not as good as Lawler either but still got lucky and won the fight.

He had Lawler wrapped up within seconds trying for a takedown. Then got man handled with a real life Angle Slam.

Fed greatest of all time. Huge fan.

In all likelihood (if Djok's head is on right) Fed should be passed by Djok.

Really don't want to see Djok as GOAT.

I like you, Ricb, b/c you're a tennis fan.

I know Rafa wins the FO every time, but he is vulnerable. Right now Djok is better on clay than Nadal.... if Djok is mentally there. If Djok does a disappearing act, then forget about it. All in all, though, you're probably right. 2020 FO goes to Rafa. But I don't give Rafa any hard court slams and I think it'll be hard for him to grab Wimbledon again. He has been doing better but the stars need to be aligned.

I think Thiem can beat Rafa in 2020 FO. And I think in 2020 he will pass Rafa on hard courts.

Federer... maybe one more slam. Outside chance at two. But most likely zero. Hard to say. Anything can happen, but his window is closing rapidly.

But again, you're probably right. Rafa catches Fed... and will likely pass him. Maybe by a slam or two.

In the end, though, it all comes down to Djok. Will he be mentally there? I mean, in the end he should be the one having the most slams of all time. Something about him -- especially him as a quitter in his younger matches and how sometimes he'll do the quitter routine in big matches -- makes me think he'll somehow botch it. And then Rafa will stand alone as having the most slams.

Could go lots of ways.

Berrettini? I like his game. Big and powerful, but the smallest calves (does he have any?) I've seen on a human being ever. And he's 6'5". I thought the Dimitrov match against him was a rite of passage. Dimitrov passing on to the junk heap on young promises who never realized their great promise and will just sputter on like a Gasquet trash can blowing in the mind... and floating around the rankings.

However, I dislike the Berrettini mentally. Much like the Medvedev mentality. I knew Medvedev would lose to Rafa in the slam final the moment it started. Another player who is mentally trash. Although Medvedev is definitely primed to win some slams if he does everything right.

Forgot how good Murray is until I saw him play again.

I thought Tsitsipas was the future when he exploded on to the scene. But something didn't seem right. But he'll be right there.

The real question is what will happen now? I mean, over two decades almost 3 guys have grabbed about 50 slams or whatever.

Will this be a new era of maybe 15 different slam winners over a 5 year period? Certainly possible.
