The Chicago Bears are trading quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 2025 sixth-round pick that can convert into a fourth-round pick based on playtime, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.
Fields joins Russell Wilson in an overhauled quarterback room that doesn't return any players from the 2023 roster after the team traded 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett to the Eagles on Friday afternoon. Pickett had expressed a desire to be traded following Wilson agreeing to terms with the team late Sunday night.
Fields, though, will not compete with Wilson for a starting job, a team source told ESPN. Instead, Fields is expected to learn from the Super Bowl winner and nine-time Pro Bowler in Pittsburgh.

AS one who still thinks that Justin Fields has a chance to be an above average NFL QB I think Pit just made the steal of the offseason. A sixth round pick? Wow.
Steelers in good shape going forward.

You can’t make this stuff up

but the NFL has always helped the Steelers win games so it might work out for them

this may be the worst QB room in the league

All the best Justin and your 5 second QB read the defense clock, scramble 12-15 yds back every time there’s pressure, telegraph most of your single read pass attempts, horrible touch on screens, your 120mph 10yd passes, your late awkward 3 years in the making QB sliding attempts, questionable dread locks, and your 11-29 record with no offensive weapons. Bye.

Maybe the room will suck but they've improved a ton from Pickett.

Guess he wasn't exactly liked in Chicago!

You're gonna get a head case now in Caleb Williams. Good luck. Hope I'm wrong and he's the next big thing. I like what the Bears have been doing over the past couple of years.

The Bettis returning to Detroit hype with Steelers/Seahawks SB was over the top. Carried over into the worst officiated SB of all time.

Since i live in LV, I see a lot of Pac12 football and especially USC. If you want to preview Williams in Chicago, just replay Byrce Young from last year. Check out Williams versus good teams and and try to explain his play versus ND. Big stats in the games after that because the defense was giving up 40 a game and the "number one pick" goes 1-4. I'm willing to say he will be better than Trubinsky.

I thought you were a Jayden Daniels fan, Chop. I'm hoping he falls to the Patriots. I'm not sold on Maye.
Has nothing to do with who in a fan of
Who im a fan of does not determine what’s going to happen in real life .
I don’t make #1 pick of the draft predictions based on who I like .

I make them based on what I think is going to happwn

There was never a doubt who they were taking . This was determined the moment the panthers pick clinched the #1 pick

That trade is going to go down in history as the worst trade in NFL history

I did say "fan" but that's not exactly what I meant. I thought you said that you thought that Jayden Daniels was the best QB prospect.

I did my research on your lead and I agreed. I like Daniels the best.

And yes I know as everyone seems to know that Caleb Williams will be Chicago's choice. But I, personally, would not draft Wlliams at #1.

JD is my favorite player in the draft .
But I’m not the GM of the bears so that means nothing

I am higher on Jayden than I was Burrow .
He’s almost as impressive off the field as he is on it

And that’s why I like him more then Williams

my clock is stuck on 420 time to hit this bong

I wouldn’t waste picking another qb if I were bears . Add a few more pieces make do with pretty much anyone. Long list of proven loser QBs that have gone no where . Rather throw in kapernick then waste a pick .
