Back in the day when we collected what cards did you invest in (Buy in bulk) thinking it would be a lot? I am guilty of Ramon Martinez. My dad bought tons of Dwight Gooden 1985 Topps cards. He would buy them for $5 nothing more. What about you guys?:money8:

Haha! I remember paying $15 for a 1989 Topps rack pack with Gregg Jeffries showing on front. I'd be lucky to get $1 now. I got a Kevin Maas craked bat when he was with the Columbus Clippers. I traded the bat to this other kid for a craked Curt Ford bat. What a block buster deal!

Remember the 1984 Mattingly fake Donruss cards? I bought a 1985 Donruss Eric Davis rookie for $30 once. In 1988 I think. When I was young a neighbor tricked me into trading for a 1982 Topps Pasqual Perez card which he claimed was an error. The cock ripped me off. It wasn;t the actuall error card. I traded him one of my dad's Duke Snider cards. I hope the ass gets crabs!

I noticed the last time I looked up some prices I checked Bonds rookies to see what they were doing not alot of movement up on these. I bought a lot of Albert Belle cards and lost my ass on those also.

I had and bought about 50 Chris Brown rookie card TOPS Style. I believe 1986. It was some black dude with GIANTS written across the top. They were like 1.25 each and I loaded up.

I have about 80 George Bell rookie cards, should have dumped them after his MVP year.
I did sell six Mcgwire olympic cards for 150 apiece, kept six, wish I sold them all.
All my Goodens, Strawberry and Mattinglys are worthless.

i agree with the above comment about Gregg Jeffries probably being the biggest bust ever for the average collector

Is still swear Tom Gordons 1988(?) minor league season was statisically the most dominant ever. His stuff was absolutly filthy before the injuries.
