Don't understand what u mean. I do make payments.

That's not true. It's difficult to have student written off in bankruptcy but it can be done.

Your example fails "good faith" test right off the bat. No judge would allow you to write off the loan when you have yet to make any payments.

I was talking about other poster's examples. The case would be DOA if they didn't make any payments.

You must repay your loan in the last 5 years without missing any payment to pass the "good faith" requirement.

Why would you file bankruptcy because of a student loan? You can defer or modify the payments. Anyways bankruptcies are usually filed at the state level.
Are you really unable to pay off the loans and afford rent and other necessities? Without caring to look it up i would imagine most on your list were in much more serious debt.

there's a reason why student loans can't be discharged, everyone would do it especially doctors

you accumulate all this debt when you didn't have a job and weren't credit worthy (another reason), then when you're done with school but before you start working or making real money and before you have any assets, you file bankruptcy

so you get credit when you wouldn't otherwise get credit and then have it discharged before you show any of the benefits for that loan

Just be patient, Before the Clown Obama leaves office, I would bet that he forgives a ton of those student loans.. Which is total Bullshit, A lot of people used good judgement knowing that they wouldn't be able to pay off the loans so decided not to attend college and start working, and the ones who went to college for french poetry knowing full well that it wouldn't pay the bills when they graduated will hit easy street when he forgives those loans. total bs.
