LSU had plenty of history, success and championships before Nick Saban. To suggest otherwise is shortsighted and ignorant.

ignorant is your middle name so let's end this since you obviously can't give Saban credit for resurrecting a shit program that no player like Russell would have ever considered.

LSU SEC titles...hmm nothing from 1988-2001, just one year after Saint Nick took that hideous program over

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=1 width="80%" border=1><TBODY><TR align=middle><TD>1988</TD><TD>Mike Archer</TD><TD>SEC</TD><TD>10-1-1</TD><TD>6-1</TD></TR><TR align=middle><TD>2001</TD><TD>Nick Saban</TD><TD>SEC</TD><TD>10-3</TD><TD>5-3</TD></TR><TR align=middle><TD>2003</TD><TD>Nick Saban</TD><TD>SEC</TD><TD>13-1</TD><TD>7-1</TD></TR><TR align=middle><TD>2007</TD><TD>Les Miles</TD><TD>SEC</TD><TD>12-2</TD><TD>6-2</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

let's look at National Titles...hmm, interesting. this phenomenal, historic program won their last title in 1958 before Saint Nick arrived.
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=1 width="80%" border=1><TBODY><TR><TH bgColor=#461d7c>Year</TH><TH bgColor=#461d7c>Coach</TH><TH bgColor=#461d7c>Selector</TH><TH bgColor=#461d7c>Record</TH><TH bgColor=#461d7c>Bowl</TH><TH bgColor=#461d7c>Result</TH></TR><TR align=middle><TD>1958</TD><TD>Paul Dietzel</TD><TD>AP, Coaches</TD><TD>11-0</TD><TD>Sugar Bowl</TD><TD>LSU 7, Clemson 0</TD></TR><TR align=middle><TD>2003</TD><TD>Nick Saban</TD><TD>Coaches</TD><TD>13-1</TD><TD>Sugar Bowl</TD><TD>LSU 21, Oklahoma 14</TD></TR><TR align=middle><TD>2007</TD><TD>Les Miles</TD><TD>AP, Coaches</TD><TD>12-2</TD><TD>BCS National Title Game</TD><TD>LSU 38, Ohio State 24</TD></TR><TR align=middle><TD bgColor=#ffcc00 colSpan=4>Total national championships:</TD><TD bgColor=#ffcc00 colSpan=2>3</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

LSUPete, you're a moron like the rest of your bayou friends. Put the anger for CNS away as it really makes your "I love Les Miles" argument seem contrived.

The FACT, since you like to deal with facts, is that LSU was nothing but a 2nd tier SEC program with absolutely no national title hopes before Saban arrived. You spent the entire decade of the 90's without winning an SEC championship and he created a true national powerhouse. Those are facts..your bitterness is just lame so get over it while Bama and LSU dominate the SEC West for the next few years.

BTW I think it's hilarious how LSU fans hate Bama yet we could care less about you...Tennessee and Auburn are the only true rivals I hate...LSU I actually sort of root for when not playing Bama

Rolltide,

I give Saban all the credit in the world for his time at LSU, but I don't hide my head in the sand like Bama fans. The guy is a piece of shit and the parents of any recruit should realize that.

You claim not having any SEC titles in the 90's means LSU is a "2nd tier SEC program." Guess what .....Bama has no SEC titles in the 2000s', guess you are second rate now.

It is true that Bama over time is the premier SEC program, but that has become a thing of the past. ND, Nebraska and Army use to be good too.
Bama has flirted with sucess under shula and now Saban, but until they win something I see it as Fla #1, LSU a 1A, Georgia 3. Bama is at 5 behind Tenn in the 21st. century.

You make me laugh.....keep grinding out that agenda.

Retort with all the insults you want, I'm done with you.

well I'm not the one with the Nick envy but will actually agree with you again. Shula, Dubose, Franchione, and CO had dropped Bama to a 2nd tier SEC program. Nick has restored us to a 1st tier program, one that players like Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, DJ Fluker, and Dre Kirkpatrick choose to be a part of. This was not happening in the late 90's and most of the 00's but it's happening now. And, as he did at LSU, I know that when he leaves he'll be leaving the program in far better shape than when he arrived. That should be the dictionary definition of a great college coach.

btw, thank god you are "done with me"...knocking you around on this forum is about as entertaining as Shula's goal line offense.

For Dre Kirkpatrick, Bama's crowning jewel.......
College Education $40,000......
Money boosters are sliding you under the table.....$50,000
Putting on a Braves cap instead of an Alabama cap at your national signing day event on ESPN......priceless.

envy is a beautiful thing especially for a program that was 7-6 just 14 months ago...just how good are these last two classes for Saint Nick? well, see below

CP, congrats on those big time coaching pulls for young coach K...once he learns recruiting rules perhaps he'll finish in the top 9 of the SEC?
