Former West Virginia University running back Avon Cobourne excelled in his NFL Europe debut in Germany Sunday, but his team lost.

Allocated to the league by the Detroit Lions, who he made as a free agent, Cobourne carried 17 times for 96 yards and caught three passes for 34 yards.
