So far few of the lurkers have posted here but I will contribute my thoughts on why I lurked for a while before posting...
1) Intimidation - Some of the guys here have been betting on games far longer than I've been on this earth so I found it difficult to make posts regarding game selections. I would guess that I'm more intelligent or maybe just thoughtful than many posters. Given this, I was reluctant to get into a flame war with some jerkoff who would challenge me in an immature way about a game selection or post that he disagreed with. It just wasn't worth the effort.
Frankly, there are posters here who are a) too stupid to put a cohesive thought together or b) just like to push buttons by making 1 or 2 sentence bombastic statements.
2) Internet Immaturity - I never had a bunch of time to frequent or post to internet forums. It took a while to learn the lingo. If you add the time it takes to learn general posting norms to the time it takes to learn those specific to a gambling forum, it can take time to get comfortable.
3) General Disgust - At times while being a luker, I found myself disgusted with some of the posts. Because of this I would think, "eff this place and the 13 year olds that post here." Generally, you have to wade through a bunch of garbage to get to the good stuff. There are a few guys here who are infamous for their attempts at starting riots with their posts. I just don't get why these people make these statements that offend a subsection of the population or revert to calling fellow posters names. It just seems like a waste of time.

The reason I haven't been posting before it that there are alot of wankers like Mr. Kennedy & DeniseTheWoman littering the forum, but aside from them it's a great place.

I`ve been a poster for several yrs. Prior to this past Feb/Mar, I primarily posted on the CFB/NFL sites, as these occupy 90% of my betting time. Unfortunately I let myself become embroiled in a "no win" argument w/the likes of O&U, Patriot, & FF re. this administration. Frankly it just was too wearisome i.e. pissing in the wind, w/these individuals. So I took a break. Now that Lander, myself and some others have been proven correct as to the hypocrisy at work I feel vindicated. I`ll never post in that forum again, but now that FB is just around the corner am looking forward to some back and forth w/all the great guys in that venue. This is a GREAT site for ALL gamblers and I appreciate the work you and the mods do.
