im tired of god, and christians, and muslims. and whatever is out there.

its pretty funny though how this country seems to be so scared of muslims yet I see Americans wearing muslim clothing all the time now.

always have said christianity was the inferior religion to islam and that christianity will eventually die out.

i dont like islam, christianity, or any of the religions, thats the truth though.

Is the "under god" in the pledge of allegiance mandatory? If yes, then this would be a problem for me.

No aspect of the "Pledge of Allegiance" is mandatory for any American

While true, in many schools its played over the loud speakers for everyone to hear and everyone is asked to stand and recite it. Most children are going to feel damn strange not following the herd. Probably even more so for the teachers. It's sickening to me that schools do this, and not merely because of the under god part.

Responsible parents who disagree with such practices need to be more assertive and inform the school that such bullying of their child(ren) will not be tolerated

We said the pledge every morning in grade school... I remember there was a kid from Iran in 5th grade..He said the pledge too because thats what we did in our Country..None of us got corrupted by saying it...Of course we believed in ourselves & of course there was not much politically correct bullshit that originated in California back in the late 60s either so just say it & shut the hell up...The pledge does & will continue to include include "Under God"...Oh my gosh now I did it I said the G word...It's your Country not anybody elses,do what you do & not worry about what the newcomers think, chances are they don't mind anyway if they want to continue living here.

When I worked in a school in a classroom where they said the pledge everyday I always said it and skipped the under god part....oh yeah, and I usually mumbled "with liberty and justice for some."

I Said it all through school as did everyone else. We prayed in the huddle before the games and before the half. I nor anyone else that I know has had any ill effects. Not sure if we received any positive ones but hell it didn't hurt.

Now, why did a bunch of extremely smart and totally dedicated people write our constitution in a manner that allows people to question the legality of prayer in government owned institutions?

Could be that separation of Church and State means just that, and serves not only for the protection of the government from the Church but the Church from the government.

Could be that we should stick to the Constitution, not the personal correspondence of a president.
