backs break down so damn much. i can get jonathan stewart, lendale white, felix jones type backs in the mid rounds and have a Moss, Fitz or a Fitz Andre Johnson, whatever, 2 elite wideouts, then a 4000 yard 25 + TD QB in the 2nd 3rd round, i can find 50/50 backs in the mid rounds and get a top TE before other teams get to them.

I still think LT is the choice though. Runs, catches, receives. Chargers had OL injuries last year too. He's the feature back and always produces. Either LT or Westbrook with Brady the 3rd choice now that I think about it.

But the injury factor is still there, and we all know how much of a force Sproles can be when he gets the touches. There's a lot more safe picks out there then LT (especially if your drafting at 2).

Been doing draft leagues for 6 years and now finally myself and the others in my league had an epiphany and we're gonna do an auction league next year so the question doesn't really apply to our league, however, I think Turner/Forte will have the 2nd most amount of $ spent on them, possibly Chris Johnson if Fisher says something in preseason like he will get more goal line/receiving opportunities....

Anyone do auction leagues? I haven't done one before but they seem WAYYYYY better than drafts which I am really bored with. Only problem with auction is you gotta have 10-12 good owners otherwise people will messup bad, whereas draft it is easier for a casual follower to do well....I think my league can handle it though and I like the idea of everyone starting out on equal footing rather than drafts where when its your pick you pretty much have a choice between 4-5 guys even if you like none of them that much...

Auction leagues are the way to go.

GTC08, why draft a QB so high? You can get a very good one in rounds 8+

I think ESPN is getting auction capability next year for football since they have it for MLB/NBA now and once they get it the other sites like Yahoo will probably have to follow suit..

Used them the first year and ESPN was horrible. Not sure how they are now. Love CBS, but they are raising the price.

I like yahoo the best, so easy to use and a nice simple, interface. What my league will probably do if yahoo doesn't have auction capability is we'll just do the auction on ESPN then put the rosters into Yahoo and use that for the year since we like it a lot more...

Anybody got any auction tips? NFL.com has its auction rankings up already if anyone wants to check it out

http://www.nfl.com/fantasy/rankings

see a few undervalued/overvalued guys on that list, however, as we get closer to the season I think the list will become more and more efficient (as will consensus opinion)

This is dead on.

I think they are more interesting as well, but it's difficult to make sure every individual in a league shows up for regular drafts.....

I guess Yahoo wants ESPN to start ruining them in market share because they aren't going to offer auction leagues this year, that seems really stupid to me. ESPN offers free auction leagues with free live scoring, I think my league will be on ESPN this year.....

I hate ESPNs interface compared to Yahoo but if Yahoo is gonna be stuck in 2005 and not offer the consumer what they want I guess you have to switch...

we discussed the question at work the other day among some fantasy football diehards. Were in a keeper league together, but most of us agreed even if it wasn't a keeper league it was a toss up between Turner and Jones Drew for 2nd and 3rd.. MJD is gonna have a monster year with Fred Taylor out of the picture and an O-line rebuilt in the draft. Even though he's an old WR , adding Torrie Holt to that team isn't gonna hurt MJD either. I would have Forte, Jackson and LT around 4,5,6.. in any order. Not as sold on Westbrook this year with these nagging injuries building up
