If someone used your credit card number for something illegal on the Internet they could interview your friends and co-workers and say "everyone we talked to saw KMAN download child porn, that's what you saw too isn't it?" They can intimidate your weak
friends or co-workers into agreeing with them and then using their testimony in court.
People who have no intention of downloading child porn may have it on their computers. Child porn may never be seen as it appears in pop-up ads and banner ads that are at the bottom of pages. If the Feds have backdoors they can detect this.
