Apparently there is a press conference set to announce Arsenal signing Thierry Henry to a 4 year deal. Good for the EPL.

More drama at Stamford Bridge and whether you like Chelsea or not they make for a good read. Drogba is tired of being labelled a cheat and wants out of the EPL.

Not sure if we are allowed links but both articles can be found on soccernet.

Links like this are ok.

Thanks fhmesq44. Next time I'll save folks the trouble and include the link.

What moves do you expect this summer at Highbury? Any possiblity they may look to ink Andy Johnson?

I have no idea. I agree they need a MF (preferably offensive MF) but Johnson isn't the type of guy Wenger usually signs (he LOVES the young guys and Johnson is 32). Plus, I imagine JOhnson would want more than a 1 year deal and Wenger won't give guys 30+ more than that.

If they can keep Cole they are set in the back, if they lose him, they may look for a left back since they would only have Clichy. That is, unless they plan to keep Flamini there.

After looking at their roster there is no room for Johnson anyway. Especially if Walcott, who I had no idea even existed, is going to be a integral part of their team in the future.

They are so solid across the back. Sol Campbell is one of my favorite players in the world and he seems to score big goals on the biggest of stages. I'm still trying to figure out why his goal was disallowed against Argentina in '98.

Campbell and Cole may be on their way out and Lauren is older as well. The young guys are solid. I would love to see a back line of Cole/Toure/Campbell/Eboue next year. That is a MONSTER back line with both Cole and Eboue having nice offensive skill. Toure was a beast this year, just fantastic all season.

PHG, I had the wrong Andy Johnson, I was thinking about West Brom, not CP. However, based on today's soccernet article and the Rosicky signing, doesn't look like they want the Crystal Palace Andy Johnson either.

I wasn't real clear in my original post, but after reading your post it was evident there wasn't any room for him anyway. I read about the Rosicky singing yesterday and I for one am happy that they are loading up for a run at Chelsea.

Looking forward to a more competitive EPL next year.....hopefully.

van Nistelrooy is surely one of those players. Teams might be hoping he underperforms during the World Cup in order to save on the transfer fee. Does anyone know for sure why he has fallen out of favor at Man U?
