Arkansas vs Duke on 03/26 by Jincka

I’m very excited for this game. As much As I want to be yelling Woo Pig Suey all night, I can’t get myself to the window for them. I’ve been waiting for the pressure to get to this young Duke team but they keep closing games out like a group of veterans. I think that loss in the ACC Finals was a great learning lesson for this group.

Duke has faced two teams in KenPom’s Top 10 Adjusted Defensive Efficiancy and beat both Gonzaga and Texas Tech in tight games. Just outside, Arkansas has the #11 defense led by Jaylin Williams (dude will step in front of a train), but Duke ranks as one of the best teams in the country at protecting the ball. Assuming Duke doesn’t commit a ton of turnovers, Arkansas will struggle to score in transition (which they will need to win). The Razorbacks are not gun shy from deep but they rank towards the bottom of the nation in 3pt% and Duke is one of the better teams in the nation at protecting the rim. Arkansas will need to settle for more mid range and deep jumpers which doesn’t bode well, especially if we see the Thursday night version of Notae.

Coach K Farewell tour has one more stop, New Orleans.
