Here is some info that some of you might not be aware of or remember. Petrino coached under Tubberville as OC at Auburn in 2002. He then moved to Lousiville in 2003 as the head coach. After that year he held secret meetings with boosters from Auburn in attempt to replace Tubberville as the head coach.

-I like to look at games from all angles. I believe Petrino is a Scumbag, and Tubberville will run up the score as much as he can as a little payback. I agree w/ newmeat, the reason that offense was struggling is that Franklin was not allowed to do the things he wanted. To begin with he wanted HIS guy at QB....and Tubberville played the kid Tubberville wanted.

Tubberville has beaten Alabama 5 or 6 years in a row. He went 13-0 just a few years ago and won the SECC. He has FAR from "worn out his welcome". Now, if Saban beats him a few years in a row....and he keeps losing to LSU....then maybe. But he's got 3-5 more years before they'll consider running him off. He's a great coach!

Is Auburn a mess right now and were they completely overrated heading into the season? Absolutely. They will likely be a 7-5 team this year and I don't consider them a quality win anymore for teams like LSU and Vandy. With that said, Arkansas is flat out terrible. Petrino will get this program to the top of the SEC because he is one of the best coaches for college, BUT that will take time. Right now he has absolutely zero to work with and it will be a LONG here for the Hogs. I am on Auburn -19 and feel very comfortable with my bet.

Auburn will pretty much score at will, and their defense will give up around 10 points most likely. I'm seeing a 34-6 type of win.

The only player that would be pissed is Todd and thats only because he lost his starting job, everyone else is loyal to tubs and his staff. Having Franklin on board was like putting a square peg through a round hole, it was a good business decision to let him go.

I wont touch this game but I do agree with you.........They have a great defense so Arkansas might not even score in this game and if Aub decides to just run the football they will cover this spread but who knows what they will do at this point.........Ark will be better in the coming years but Aub has better talent so be careful!!!!

I see this game playing similar to the ARK/ AL game - multiple defensive touchdowns and dominate ground game for Auburn. ARK is really pitiful.:toast:
