As Utah, which averages 48 points per game at home, doesn't appear to have that usual hard-nosed Ute defense, this game appears to be one that will feature plenty of scoring and I for one believe that this 'appearance' is no mirage. I see an OVER oasis here.
The Wildcats' defense is quite tolerant and friendly towards opposing attacks, in fact they welcome it. In four of their last five games, they have given up 500 plus yards.
This year, Utah has had trouble stopping explosive plays. The Utes are 75th in passing explosiveness and 98th in rush play explosiveness, respectively.
The Utah D are giving up 21.6 points and 339.4 yards per game .
The Arizona defense allows 475 yards and 37.4 points per game.
Also, let's just quickly recap each teams last 3 games played total points.
Arizona L3: 82 pts (USC) / 88 pts (WAS) / 71 pts (ORE)
Utah L3: 38 pts (WAS) / 85 pts (USC) / 74pts (UCLA)
These two teams are fast and I see this OVER 67.5 (which, by the way has been rock-solid and hasn't moved since it came out) coming in the late third quarter or early fourth.
