Sharky--
Dunno whether you've heard some of my private discussions about this game or just had the New York/Orlando game on TV this past weekend, but I've been saying if the Preds can get to Nagy, this game won't be close and the Preds will roll to Vegas. The prime player in this one would figure to be EJ Burt, who amassed 7.5 sacks in the regular season... Burt has become an absolute terror ever since being placed with Elfrid Payton with three games left in the season. The game vs. New Orleans I believe Burt had a sack, several hurries, and a forced fumble, and then pulled a similar stunt against Aaron Garcia. Meanwhile, on the other side of that line, Elfrid Payton grabbed two sacks, and the forced fumble that led to a defensive score that essentially put New York behind a massive 8 ball.
Payton is a really fast down lineman, but if Gruden isn't careful and ends up stuck with him on the offensive side of the ball, Hamilton's in trouble. That being said, it'll be the line of Miller, Krause or Cleveland, and Upchurch that likely ends the game for the Preds, and this is clearly their B line. Burt and Payton are usually put with Krause, but played a bunch with Cleveland last week as well, matching that with the abuse given from mack linebacker Idris Price or Kevin Nagle, both of which have gotten a good rush the past two weeks.
I think the Preds are going to get what's coming to them in terms of a comeback this week, and though I think they're going to pull ahead early in this one, I think they're giving it back in the second half and that Georgia isn't only going to win, but cover as well. Hope I'm wrong, but this is what I believe is going to happen. Gimme the 2.5 points in the first half when Orlando will, in my eyes, 80% likely start with the football, and we'll see what happens from there.
Best of luck on your action.
