illegal immigrants are more likely to come from a socioeconomic disadvantage. what benefit do you gain from raising tuition to a price you know that they cannot pay?

this is like asking why we don't tax poor people more since a they make up a larger portion of the population and thus use the most resources provided by the govt
they can't afford it.

You are missing the entire point. They are illegals dude. They shouldn't be paying anything because they're illegally in the US. They should be deported.

America owes black slaves not illegal Mexicans.

Ok, finding a "black slave" might be difficult or maybe impossible. BUT,
blacks, need their freebies....and Mexicans are cutting into the freeby
cash.

Whitey, we the slaves....not folks from Mexico. Don't forget us!!

That is something everyone agrees on. But that isn't the question. The question, what should they be allowed to do while waiting for their deportation? Go to school? Work at a job? Live in a house or on the street? Eat meals?

Tom, with all due respect, I think you've lost all your fucking marbles like about 90% of fucking dumbass Americans. Enfuego is 100% right.

You are illegal.... you do not belong in the country. Period. End of story.

If Enfuego sends his son to break in to your house and he's in your house and you find him.... are you going to debate whether he should hang out in your living room or the garage until the police arrive? No, you'll probably try to put a bullet in his head and protect your family.

Don't really care what they do but to receive benefits US citizens receive while they wait is bullshit.

So, a valedictorian at a high school in Texas gave her speech the other day and told the crowd she is an undocumented student. So, should we allow her to receive in state tuition now for 3-4 years while we wait for her to be deported if she's ever deported?

NY Times has a good article out about people losing jobs to those on H-1b visas

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. — American corporations are under new scrutiny from federal lawmakers after well-publicized episodes in which the companies laid off American workers and gave the jobs to foreigners on temporary visas.
...
in the past five years, through loopholes in the rules, tens of thousands of American workers have been replaced by foreigners on H-1B and other temporary visas, according to Prof. Hal Salzman, a labor force expert at Rutgers University.
In March, two Americans who had been laid off in 2014 by a New England power company, Eversource Energy, spoke at a news conference in Hartford even though they had signed nondisparagement agreements. Craig Diangelo, 63, and Judy Konopka, 56, said most of the 220 people facing dismissal had been required as part of their severance to train Indian immigrants with H-1B and other visas.
