i don't like it. The only pitcher with big game playoff experience is Burnett. I am pretty weary about him though. He is a pitch away from the disabled list. I am also concerned about the way CC was abused the last few months by the Brewers. He is liable to come in and get injured within the first month. I said it all last season when it was taking place that the overuse wouldn't show until this season coming up. I know they locked up Marte, but they still need to address some middle relief help. I just don't like how they are doing things. I thought they had learned and were going to focus more on developing their own talent. The teams of the dynasty years were for the most part all home grown talent. They seemed like they were going to try that route again by passing on Johna last year, but I guess 1 bad year totally scrapped those plans? I mean I know it's the Yankees and they are no such thing as "rebuilding" year, but I was under the assumption that last year was just that, "rebuilding". They still barely missed out on the playoffs, and really wish they stayed the course, and continued to let Hughes, Kennedy, and Joba develop. Now what happens to Hughes and Kennedy? They held off on Santana (who imo would much rather have in comparison to CC) because they were going to develop these guys. If I was Cashman I would have passed Sabathia, and turn my attention to smaller names such as Lowe, Willy Taveras, and Brian Fuentes, along with re-signing Pettite. I think taveras would be a great fit in center field. They need players that play team baseball. Having a lineup of all stars that all just want to hit home runs obviously isn't working.
