Past few years out here in Vegas, you would see GSW hats, jerseys and such being worn everywhere you went during the NBA season.... now, its like they arent even a team anymore, and cant find anyone wearing any GSW gear.

How would you like to be a season ticket holder who paid licensing fees and then for the tickets in the new areana to watch a team that will win under 20 games this year? Too bad for them as only the elite go to those games anyway as they step over the homeless and the piles of crap to get to their thousand dollar seats.

What an excellent post!

I like the stepping over the homeless and piles of crap point as well. Lol.

Are they building a new arena? If so, nice way to steal more from taxpayers.

Really think California should have a team called "The Illegals". Have them replace the Raiders.

The San Francisco Illegals or the San Francisco Street Shitters!!!

Reminds me of all those Chicago Bulls "fans" in the 90's who root for another team today.

The Bulls have led the league in attendance almost every season since Jordan retired.

I'm sure many of those GS 'fans' are national ticket brokers who will lose their ass on most games this season.

I don't think there is any comparison between the loyalty of Chicago sports fans, to every Chicago team, and the current seasons ticket base for Golden State. Note I said "current" and am not referring to the old base in Oakland who were very loyal to the team through many lean years.

Why didn't Oakland build them an arena, or did they want to move across the bay for the money?

How did they go from winning 70 games to 20 in such a short time ?

$$$. Big spenders and luxury box dwellers don't want to go to Oakland. 50% of seat licenses were above $15,000.

What I meant by my comment was that in the late 80's and 90's, there were TONS of bulls fans all over the country (who were not from Chicago). 20 years later, they are not bulls fans anymore.

Its funny how many warriors "fans" you see today around the country. Its funny how many kids tell me that their favorite team is the warriors. Something tells me that in the next 5-10 years, they'll have a new favorite team

Maybe it was just people that used some of their winnings on Warriors gear from betting them for the last 5 years?

Either way, fairweather fans get a bit of a bad rap from team loyalists. It's just laundry at the end of the day.

Fuck that. I wear my Warriors hoodie and tshirts where ever I go. And all over Los Angeles whenever i'm in town which is every other week. I get comments of course. And every time, I say the same thing, "Let's see A.D. or Bron finish the season before you guys go proclaiming yourselves back. Haven't the Warriors taught you anything? Regular season don't mean shit" Stops em in their tracks every single time. They sigh and say, "Yeah....i know i know. We'll see"

Oakland and Alameda County is SACKED w/ debt and the the bureaucracy and corruption fucks it all up. Oakland is gonna lose all 3 of their sports teams. That should say it all.

Lacob didn't wanna fuck around. He got the deal done in San Francisco within weeks.
