Or is Phil Jackson that overrated? He has been badly outcoached his past 2 finals, and just blew a 24 point lead. 33 points in the 2nd half.

the c's are good...the halftime speech jackson said just go out and win the 3rd Q and they couldnt...LAL are a 1 man band....the celts bench is MUCH better than expected at the begining of the season when they traded away a few guy in the garnett deal...several guys have had HUGE playoff games...and i said it at the begining of the year...the 3 allstars make the rest of the guys that much better....

i like the way things sit now but i think its going back to boston

Phil Jackson is being outcoached by Doc Rivers. He had Farmar and Vujacic playing almost the entire fourth quarter. He must have forgot about Fisher and Odom. Meanwhile, Rivers rotation was perfect and Pierce and Allen played heavy minutes. Wave good-bye to the Lakers

they have 3 possible hall of famers that are perennial all stars. 1 for sure hall of famer in garnett. they are that good. you all underrated them though because of the LA flash.

For the past 10 years it has been conceded by all that Phil J is the chessmaster amongst nba coaches. If so then Doc Rivers is the checkers-master! Just heard Doc say to Phil "King Me"!

Posey and Eddie House co-mvps tonight

Lets bury this "Big3" bullsht, for a long time now there have been many other players being the key to a given victory - the Big12 more like it!!! Next year no more Big 3 talk please! Rest of teammates deserve medals for not being agitated with all of that all year.

yes they are - 3 stars and everyone committed to playing on both ends, plus role players stepping up in different games.

A curious comparison in that chess is to checkers like
checkers is to tic-tac-toe.

Just remember I said that Boston wouldn't make the playoffs this past year...500 big ones down the drain(500 to win 900) Great bet huh?

That deserves some sort of consolation prize for being almost impossible to do. I know it ain't over yet by a long shot (that 4th win is always the most difficult) but should Boston win the The NBA Title this year think about it. VD picked them to miss the playoffs altogether, 15 teams are going to lose that bet for varius punters but only Boston (most likely - unless Lakers pull off a small miracle) can not only make the playoffs and lose VD's $500, they are a huge favorite now to do the exact opposite - win the playoffs instead of not making them..

How high does it register on the Gambling Richter Scale for a player to identify a team, bet on it to simply not make the playoffs (like many teams had no problem doing, most notably the aforementioned New York Knicks) but not only make those same playoffs but actually win the whole shootin match.

Quite possibly a wagering feat that has never been done before in the annals of wagering on NBA playoffs. Unprovable I know, but quite a feat nonetheless.

Celtics are a very good team and better then the Lakers. I will be the first to admit that I was wrong. No excuses for the Lakers. They had no business trying to run the clock out with a ½ time lead.

It will be a long summer. I think LA trades Odom this summer for a SF.
