These folks protested the government and Vietnam back in 60’s gave up on the environment after the 70’s made a shit ton of money in the 80’s and now that they think there on the brink of extinction due to Covid 19 everyone else has to stop living and believe there government knows best? I’m sure there’s plenty I left out and obviously this doesn’t pertain to all of them.

they have fucked the younger generations. They certainly have not 'set an easier path', just the opposite. Cost of living, cost of education - there is a disconnect with income . No one can deny the middle class has eroded , The American Dream while still out there, is far more challenging

generalities , but u asked

reap what we sow. I believe a person enters politics with good intentions. Once in it, realizes there aint much he/she can do without ruffling a lot of feathers, then paralysis . WHO wants to pay more tax when monies is often spent irrationally?

What did we have to do with the democrats in DC getting into the student loan business again? Politicians are responsible for driving the costs of education up

As for the cost of living, we are a productive, ambitious and successful demographic, guilty as charged. Maybe the last demographic to have those values and raise their kids together, except for the children we instilled those same values in

I think we're the second best generation, second only to the greatest generation :)

You complained about the cost of education. Politicians getting involved in the student loan business, making student loans easily available to everyone, is what enabled our educational costs to dwarf the rest of the world. And our kids graduate with debt exceeding $ 100,000

That's just a fact of life

What is concerning is all the money that we are spending that we don't have. We've done this before but now it is just off the charts. Today there are some in congress that even want to spend trillions more. Stop! We just don't have the money and we owe China alone over a trillion dollars. Our grandchildren's grandchildren will be trying to pay this debt off.

College costs today would be HALF as high, if the federal government had just
STAYED OUT OF IT. Guaranteed loans for good students (which many want to welch
on, now) simply allowed colleges to raise tuition costs annually, FAR ABOVE THE
INFLATION RATE.

When was the last anyone EVER heard about any worthwhile college NOT raising its
rates every year....or even just freezing them for one?

I can't recall any and I'm 68.

I think the middle class are the only sane people left, with a level head on their shoulders. Observe, think, consider, then react to situations or in dialogue. Knee jerk reactions and habitual tunnel vision from the others

And they had to work their butt off for everything they've ever gotten.

Real life lessons. Old School.

The story of the last 50 years in America is that the cost of higher education, health care, and retirement have been shifted to the middle class.

That it all has been on the watch of the Baby Boomer generation is a factor, but not really a cause.

The most gullible for sure.

Fell for every big government dogma under the sun. Mass migration, globalization, employee sponsored healthcare, subsidized student loans, artificially low interest rates, corporatization via lack of anti-trust law, bloated pensions, social security/medicare, deficit spending stimulus...

Although Billy Joel is right, they didn't start the fire, just ignited it

Uh whoa there on painting people with broad strokes. Unless you think every person between certain ages thinks the same (which would make you pretty ignorant). I'm glad you at least included your last line. Yeah, it doesn't pertain to all of them. Maybe focusing on the task at hand you have an issue instead of age group might be a better way to approach this.

Once the poison fruit has been consumed, it can't be undone. Democrats and their media will attack attack attack, the politics of personal destruction, and the lapdogs are too lazy to educate themselves.

What are you going to pin on us next? Obamacare? The Great Society? Urban crime and decay? Social security and medicare program deficiencies? I know I know, we're responsible for Trump's impeachment too

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]Ah leave him alone. He's a victim. He desperately needs someone, anyone to blame
for societies problems. Personal accountability is a foreign term to him.
