Closing day for the Spring Meet, sitting at $500/$575 so guaranteed a profit for the meet even though the last few days have been dreadful.
Favorites have won 46 of 86 races - over 50% which would normally spell certain death for my style of handicapping. I'm entering a tournament today and seriously considered choosing Irad for every mount - gotta be good for about 5 or 6 wins today, right?

Race 1 - #4 Shinjuku ($5 WP) 4 year-old gets blinkers added while making 2nd start off the rest. Not completely sold here, but chose this race because there are no Ortiz's in it.

Race 3 - #4 Tap The Barrel ($10 Win, $2 ex key box 4/5,9) Drop in class, Irad.

Race 7 - #1 Laobanonaprayer ($6 exacta 1/4,6, $3 exacta 4,6/1) Should be blistering fractions which sets it up perfectly for the #1. Throwing in the Pletcher horse because there's no way to know how good she is - and if she really needs the lead. Also throwing in Irad because, well, Irad.

Race 8 - #5 Oyster Box ($6 Win, $2 ex key box 5/4,8) Torn between this one and the #4 but finally settled here as in a grass race I'd rather have my $$ on Franco than Junior. Also, I'm playing this race because I think it's the only mount Irad has all day that I don't feel has a shot to win (I know, he's in my head and will probably romp here).
