It is just easy to take an ex NFL player and put them in that role. Easy work to hire someone as opposed to finding someone who knows the game and can also speak.

who ever hired him should be shot. i finally had to switch to the other game as i couldnt understand 2/3 of what he was saying. another great example of affirmative action and not hiring the best available for the job. he was effing brutal.
He provided excellent insight yesterday. Clearly, needs much work to become a professional announcer. Aggressive hire and I like it. Don't need any more Jason Whittens.
