You will not hear it from me ....

I chuckled when I saw postings touting Texas as Bowl Game POY ...

The critics can bash the Big 10 all they want ...

Take Oklahoma, Texas out of the Big 12 and what do ya have? Take FSU out of the ACC and what do ya have? Tkae USC out of the PAC 10 and what do ya have?

Proud to have been raised and born in Big 10 country ..yr in and yr out one of the premier sports confcs in the country

Good points in here. I have been saying this whole time that I think the Big 10 just wears on each other. My bowl game of the Year I posted early and that was Iowa. These Big 10 teams simply play smart football and for whatever reason make everyone play their game.

Forgetting one thing I'd like to add to this. Playing in that area of the country in late fall and early winter time. Not fun at all. Let's see some of the warm and fun teams come up to the Horseshoe or the Big House in late November and see how lose they can play. Big 10 teams deal with the heat and humidity in late summer and early fall. They play in the entire range of weather conditions.

and Drew Tate is one fine looking QB ...

Ferentz and Iowa are a coming power ... he has a ton of talent back next season and a Top 10 recruting class coming on board and they win in week #4 @ OSU and New Years once again

Big 10 3-3 in bowls, yep a very impressive post season.

If Iowa didn't have that miraculous play then it would have been 2-4, even more impressive.

Take Ohio State and Michigan out of the Big 10 and what do you have??

Line, IF my Aunt had balls she would be my Uncle too. WHAT IF Texas missed that fg? WHAT IF Tiller wasnt an idiot and Purdue won in the last minute? WHAT IF Stucko didnt suck at qb and Wisconsin didn't had a good kicker? Then the Big 10 could easily be 5-0. Every game they played came down to the final minute aside from Ohio St kicking Ok St's ass. Therefore it's safe to say that the Big 10 was in EVERY bowl game they played in down to the last play this year. :nono5:

Not to mention the big ten was 4-1 ATS. The big 10 was way undervalued in these bowls. Wisky, Mich, and Iowa all gettin' 7-8 points. Please! That was too easy.

Korn, I said in another thread earlier talking to GoSooners that if you would have played all of the Big 10 teams ATS you'd be 5-1. Also if you would have played all of the Big 10 dogs on the ML you would have made some nice coin.

I never said the Big 10 was bad. In fact I thought they had a bunch of good teams this year. I was just pointing out that they were 3-3.

I wonder why people use the arguement that the Big 10 beats up on each other. The Big 12, SEC, ACC, don't beat up on each other? Look at Tennessee one of the best teams in the country but had to play a very good Auburn twice or else they would have had one loss and a BCS game. Texas may have played/won (i doubt it with mack) for the national title if they didn't have to play OU. The ACC has Miami, FSU, and Virginia Tech, they don't beat up on each other. I just don't understand that arguement.

Line, I don't think the Big 10 is superior to any one conference. The power in college football cycles constantly amongst the Big 10, Big 12, SEC, and ACC. It's just very enjoyable when you here the so called experts or clowns like Trev Alberts and Mayes sit there and say how one conference is washed up or etc. and they go out and have a great showing.

Iowa just keeps on amazing me. How they can have virtually no running game, a bunch of no name guys and continue to play at a top level. That coach is truely one of the best in the country.

Just wonder how long Ferentz will stay there.

No disrespect but it is Iowa, there are probably 15+ better head coaching positions in the country and the NFL. Just wonder how long before he leaves for something bigger. I would love to see him stay there though.

I'm with you guys. I live in SEC country and while I do think they have the stongest conference, I do get tired of the Big 10 bashing. The Mich/Tex game was great today. I look forward to this September when the buckeyes have everybody back and face Texas in the Shoe. When will you EVER catch an SEC team playing a non-conference game like that?

3 losses by a combined 8 points.

No Big 10 team got beaten soundly in any of their bowl games.

Oklahoma State and Texas A&M...Big 12 blown out.

Cal was an embarrassment against Texas Tech.

Alabama lost to Minnesota, LSU lost to Iowa...when the Big 10 butted heads with the SEC the Big 10 won.

All the conferences are good...but the Big 10 by far has been the most competitive and the most balanced in the bowl season.

Sports, hey buddy. I don't know about the over in this game for you tonight. I hope you get your 65? I think my 67.5 is looking good. But then again there's no such thing as a lock and I always respect the power of the lip!

It's gonna be rough step! So far in the bowls if I don't post it it seems to do well if I do post it it seems to do poorly. I know I'm hurtin' here!

Need quite a few points! Though I am happy to see Pitt get flubbed being a Penn State alum. :suomi:

I'm happy for you if you get it step...never have any ill will for people that get it right. :103631605

Thank you, Sport. I'm an alumni of The Ohio State University. Still friends? lol I've been up to Happy Valley quite a few times for some games. Some Peachie Paterno ice cream. I think we ate at the Ginger Bread man a few times?

My first college football game was there. I saw Joe Pa get win # 200 vs Alabama that night in a monsoon. I snagged Bobby Humphrey's autograph after the game. He came in 3rd for the Heisman Trophy. I was stoked being 8 years old.
