Just wondering if anyone is still following the CFL, now that NFL, NBA, NHL & MLB are all doing their thing?

It's just starting to get good in the CFL. Wondering what people think of the matchups this week, that is... if people are still interested.

I don't like totals, but the BC/Cgy & Sask/Ham overs look tempting. Casey Printers seems to be the type of QB who is capable of putting up points quickly.

Don't assume people in charge know what they are d

It's a tough week, that's for sure. Last week had some favourable numbers, but this week it looks tough. I was hoping to just play the Lions against the spread until their season is over, because I truly think they have turned the corner. However, with their injuries, and only getting 1.5 at home, no thanks.

I think the best option might be to tease Edmonton down to a pick'em with some other play. Edmonton might blow, but nobody blows like Toronto. Now they play on grass in tough conditions... a team that isn't in complete turmoil would have a tough time in Edmonton this time of year.

I think i need to find something to avoid turning to the NHL, where i'll likely lose $$

Pretty slow in here this time of the season. Aren't any more CFL games I want to bet until the playoffs begin and the UFL -- while bettable -- is too ugly to talk about.

I'm trying to give the UFL a chance, but the games aren't on in Canada, and the internet links don't work half the time.

I would never bet the UFL even if we got the games here.

As for the CFL, I have Edmonton in a moneyline parlay. They better get it done at home tonight. Argos resting Keryy Joseph tonight right?

Crap leagues are great for betting. I've been playing all games based on a simple ranking of the four teams and have lost only one first-half bet and one full-game bet. I don't think the books care much if the lines are sharp or not, because I doubt there's a lot of action on the games.

I'll be surprised if the UFL returns next year. Every time I turn on a game it looks like there are only 200 or 300 people in the stands.

It's a bad time for the league to be operating. I mean, you have so many other sports to compete with this time of year, least of which are the NFL and college football. The schedule is short, so why not make the season run from May-July/August, make it a summer league? That could also have the potential to attract more talent, as you may get people who want to showcase themselves to NFL teams, hoping to get another shot at the upcoming season.

It's not like they aren't trying to market the game. I was in California recently and noticed a bunch of Redwoods billboards and shit. But that being said, only having 4 teams is brutal.
