when the lakers run roughshod over the wnba champ pistons - you are gonna feel really stupid for saying they had a chance to win. i wish you would listen to shrink, surf and i and realize the lakers are a 100% DEAD MORTAL LOCK to win the title this season and the wnba champion pistons will soon find out they are playing a NBA team and not a WNBA team like the rest of the stiffs in that league/conference.
the ONLY WAY the lakers lose is if the league makes them play 4 on 5 to make the series closer. and if that happens - the series still goes 7 and comes down to the buzzer of G7.
if the lakers show up - and are allowed to play 5 on 5, they have NO SHOT at losing this thing.
the ONLY thing we should be debating here is how many games they will cover - and will the series return to LA for a 2nd time. that is ALL we have left to debate!

I say the Lakers cover 1 or 2 games Winky. Just like the last series where the public's infatuation with the Lakers cost them twice on backdoors. Sure people wanted to blame the backdoor, but the fact was that the Lakers had no business being such large favorites and if the lines had reflected a more accurate number of around 4.5 or 5 then the backdoors never would have happened. Last series was one where the value players got their deserved reward, we shall see if that happens again here.

Actually, it was both. Besides if he actually had the $20,000 he would be better off to play it at a sportsbook at -700 where he would win $3000 instead of $1000.
The only thing is that the sportsbook will actually make him out the money up front.

Personally I think the Lakers have a shot at sweeping this team so I'm not seeing much value in +600. I'd rather take the Lakers in 5 for +225. Is that an idiotic bet?

yeah I think they might be right, too... I don't know though I guess Detroit has a shot at surprising them with that D, but I doubt it. Max, wouldn't it be more a 8 point dog in a best of 7? the chances of a 19 point dog winning 4 games in a series of football games is pretty much 0 if you ask me. It would be like +10000.
