FairWarning, Jose Canseco used to go in the same club in Ybor City, Tampa as I did every weekend. I never made any attempt to speak to him, but my friend did, and said he seemed ok, but Im sure your right, he probably is a cocky sob. There was a second level to this club, but you had to know the word, and we never made any effort to go up due to feeling sorta out of place.

I hear ya Shrink about Mickey Mantle. When I was a kid, growing up on a small farm my dad knew a produce broker from New York that got us tickets to an Oriole-Yankee game in Baltimore back in the 60's. I was taken into the Yankee locker rook and got a baseball autographed by Mickey Mantle on the Sweet Spot and several players--Fritz Peterson, on the same ball. It's a one of a kind--I was offered $300 for it about 7 or 8 years ago. I have no idea what it's worth because I was told you hace to have it "authenticated" (misspelled) by professionals that do that sorta thing. I'm holding onto to---NOBODY IS GOING TO TELL ME IT's NOT HIS SIGNATURE!

I almost forgot I also have the last team picture of the Miami Dolphins when Don Shula was the coach signed and in a frame. Profits of Doom: I was at the first game Dan Marino played in at the Orange Bowl and first game Bob Griese played in, and used to also have season tickets.
Autographed ticket from Bernie Kosar who as a freshman led the 'Canes to their 1st National Championship against Nebraska in a chilling wild, last second, one point victory and incomplete pass by Nebraska going for a 2 point conversion in the Orange Bowl !!

Autograph from Frank Robinson of the Baltimore Orioles who I met in a doctors office who was the team surgeon for the Dolphins.

PS: How much is the: 1972 Miami Dolphins undefeated season on tape, worth ?

I know this post is a little late. But as someone who looks forward to reading Jim's posts, I agree he should just stop posting about the Lenny ordeal, much better reads when he is not. . .

Looks like most of the autographs are related to BASEBALL !

Imagine that! Where's all the football fans and their autographs?

Is it just easier to get autographs from baseball players than football players?
