I don't know why , (because we never spoke or emailed)but the Shrink's living IN the same state that I do, seemed comforting. He never made a secret of the fact that he lived in Chesapeake, Va; even joked about it occassionally.

Are there any others here in Virginia?.(that would be the Commonwealth of Virginia. Someone told me once Virginia was NOT a state it was a Commonwealth like Mass.) Now these two....regardless of name..LOL don't seem to have a lot in common. Oh wait....didn't Ted kennedy graduate from U of Va Law school? :lolBIG:

Virginia Beach...back when horse racing was apprived in the state voted NO to even having an OTB here...so I guess that speaks to how they feel here.

Been a VERY long time since I was in Richmond. Is the West End area the best place to live....that would be the area around the University of Richmond.

The West End of Richmond is very nice (to live in anyways). It's surely the best area of the town (lots of hot Russian immigrant chicks). Shockoe Bottom in downtown Richmond is defintely hopping, but don't catch yourself down there after midnight by yourself.. I prefer the Virginia Beach scene - although that may just be because I prefer hot Asian chicks.

I'd recommend you not catch yourself after midnight ANYWHERE in Richmond. Those Lions already learned their lesson...

What about the Va Commonwealth Univ. area? Bad area these days...I have some fond memories ...but go WAYYYYY back.

As for most cities ....would Richmond be less safe than say a Miami, NY Philadelphia , Detroit, etc. etc.

The VCU area is safer now, since they're expanding a ton and making shit nice. It's becoming more like a college campus, it completely dominates that area, so it's relatively nicer. But not THAT safe or nice. It's alright.

Of course, I say this just days after a kid was shot outside his apartment trying to get away from robbers, just a couple blocks from VCU. But that's in the summer, so it doesn't count. hahaha

From what I've seen, the city of Richmond is to be avoided at all costs.
West End seems pretty nice though.
The only reason SkinsRaj survives in that craphole is because he looks like Big Foot.
