these threads are so tiring/sad....some of you seem so passionate about and defined by race...feel like race baiting/related threads get so much more traction/reaction than sports threads now (8000+ views to this?)....i used to care/read through all the pages and get fired up (my kids are interracial)....now i just love y'all anyway...whatever...I disagree with a lot of folks but wish everyone good fortune and happiness
Why we are on tipping. Uber has a huge ass lawsuit on them for telling passengers the "tip was included" in fares. When in reality, it NEVER was. Not they have taken that out of the sign up process. They are so hell bent on having a cashless experience, they lie, now it will end up costing them, hopefully.
So, for those taking Uber, please tip the driver. You are paying 20-30% less than a taxi. While they have brainwashed some drivers into thinking they will get canned if they accept a tip, tipping is allowed. They are also in hot water for treating drivers like employees, when in fact we are independent contractors.

While I have received more tips from While folks, I have more regular blacks tip me every time. The only time I have every been completely stiffed when I served years ago, was by a white guy on both occasions. While blacks will run you to death at times, they generally tip ya 10%. lol
I have to chime in here. Being a bar tender, its down right amusing serving blacks/hispanics. The entitlement just makes me smile. Premium liquor, always asking for a better pour, sending the drink back. Refusing to pay. The lack of etiquette is just wow...I had a black couple order 2 drinks last night, asked how much bacardi cost, ( Listen, if u have to ask, its too much) roll their eyes, and order. Zero tip on both. I don t judge. Plenty of places I prolly couldn t afford to frequent. Its all good.
Then I have other black patrons who look at these bail jumpers and over tip me. The blacks with class despise these clowns more than I ever could. I mean, from where I sit, its extremely difficult to ever take blacks serious.
Basically, if you are black, and receive poor service:
A. The server just ins t good at their job.
B. The server has been screwed over enough times to know that its better to focus on the customers who tip accordingly. Blacks just cant wrap their brain around, you get what u give.

The funny thing is many African-Americans grew up in households where their parents were in the service industry. Bellhops, Parking lot attendants, maids, Red Caps at the train or airport. They depend on tips to make a living. Now their children don't tip. Didn't their parents teach them anything.
