Everyone this look s to be a nice matchup. It appears many are on the titans. Is this a setup?? Are the Raiders old and washed up?? Will the Titans roll at home??

The current line is 3 and O/U 46

I am leaning toward the titans at home. The O/U is a big??? It seems a bit high?? Or is it not??

Wagerline hints towards titans and under
Hilton ranks titans 5 out of all teams..

Lets all hit tonight and take the momentum into Monday!!

Any comments welcome!

Since yer welcoming any comments - I'll throw in that I have the titans wrapping up a 4 team 13 pointer along with:

Dallas Cowboys +11 Sun@4:15p
Seattle Seahawks +10 Sun@4:15p
San Francisco 49ers +6 Sun@4:15p
Tennessee Titans +10 Sun@8:30p
(Teased 13.0 points)

Its not looking so bad but I'll warn you - this is my 4th bet of the regular season - the other 3 were losses (JetsML/PatsPK/Miami-13.5).

I do like the Titans at home but you would have made a killing this week going against me thus far...

Looks like a sweet teas. going on. sure does look like a different second half with the dallas game. Hope the teas works out.

Back to the Titans.. Its kinda looking like I know see a few people posting now that they like the raiders.. that they have the passing to beat the titans. I really thought the Titans "D" is improved. Can the Titans handle the pass?? If they cant wouldnt everyone hint toward the over..Any comments appreciated.

I really like the Raiders tonight. I am not a totals player, very rare for me. If I had to though I would go with the over, without a doubt.

The Raiders beat up the Titans twice last year, the second in the AFC Championship game. Bottom line the game should turn on how well the Titans pass defend. The Raiders scored 93 points against the Titan D. last year. The Titans played lousy football, something I don't think you will see tonight. Jeff Fisher will have his team ready, I believe he learned the hard way last year going 1 and 4 out of the gate. Fisher signed a new deal in the offseason, Steve McNair is looking fit coming out of preseason, as is Eddie George. The Raiders went 0 and 4 in preseason but don't put a lot of stock in that. I hate giving points to the Raiders but feel this is the only way to go in this game. The fact that Fisher is a better coach than Bill Callahan, and a strong home field advantage for the Titans should be enough for them to cover the 3 points. IMHO.

I have no real feel for the game (small lean to the Titans) but I think the OVER is going to be the play on the total. This coming from a diehard UNDER player. Raiders will surely score some points and they are not going to shut down George and McNair. They may even do what the Bucs did to them in the Super Bowl. I laid off but threw some on the O7.5 in the first quarter just to have some sweat money on the game.

Good write up Wilhiem. I agree with many of the points you made. The Titans did start off slow last season and Fisher and the veterans do not want a repeat. There is a lot for the Titans to prove after the AFC championship game last season. The word is that they of course studied the film from that game and the Super Bowl and have made some adjustments on defense to get more pressure on Gannon.(Kease,Carter and Bullick all talented and can do the job) I think the team is motivated and definitely has the talent. McNair can play incredible at times and Eddie George (finally healthy) has vowed to quit dancing so much and just pound for the yards he can get. We also have some receivers that are not well known that could surprise some people. If the Titans are every going to beat the Radiers it is tonight at home -3 with everyone healthy (except maybe for Wycheck). The Titans however are notorious for winning games at the end with a field goal so the 3 points could end up being a push...lets hope not.
GO TITANS!!!

Agreed, I would feel much better laying 2.5. No way I am buying the half point though, if I push I push. Another thing about the two games last year is they were both played in Oakland. The Titans went 6 and 2 at home last year losing early to the Browns and Redskins. Wycheck being hurt should not be much of a factor. The Titans need to put pressure on Gannon, and play ball control with George and McNair. GL.

I have Titans -3. I just think with a healthy McNair, Titans can't be stopped at least not by the Raiders.

Yes!! I needed that field goal to get over 7 1/2 in the 1st quarter. Good luck to everyone else. Should be a good ballgame.

Strange game, both teams palyed hard albeit sloppy. IMO the better team won. Zebra's sucked. Titan's special teams great. Condolences to Raider bettors, and congrats to Titan backers.

I had Titans -3 and under 45.5. The score was Titans 22-20 so the only way I could win both bets was for a Titan field goal. The punter comes through!

Sometimes those bad beats get made up for with the good beats.

Sweating a little after that quick TD by the Raiders. The Titans should never have went soft on the pressure they were putting on Gannon. The Raiders are an old team but still very tough. The Titans will have to find some sort of a running game this season. Titans backers won this thing with a punter who happens to kick field goals

and the ability of McNair and some young receivers. I am just happy they won and covered for everyone who was on them tonight.

but don'tive up on Eddie G. just yet. Not all teams can afford to put 8 men on the line of scrimmage, they don't have the corners to do so. The fate of the Titans is in the hands of Steve McNair, got to keep him healthy. I see they travel to Indy next Sunday, may be a nice spot to jump right back on them.
