Good point, Michelangelo.
And kudos to you and the others here who keep accurate records so bettors who tail know exactly what they're getting when they decide to ride with or fade any of us. Record accuracy - including juice - matters.
Predators prowl the various forums, wolves in sheep's clothing, falsely claiming to be here to help forum members when they're really only here to help themselves - to the money in forum member's pockets.
People who are winning don't need help, they don't consider paying a tout for plays, only losing bettors do.
So by definition, scamdicappers seek to take advantage of those who need help.
Some people say, "If someone is stupid enough to fall for some tout's BS posted record (without verifying it) and pay for his picks, they deserve what they get."
I don't see it that way. I think that if you can help then you should help those in need.
The strong should help the weak, the fortunate should help the unfortunate.
And the experienced/knowledgeable should help the inexperienced.
That's why BoutMyMoney is a valuable asset to this forum.
He points out the predators looking for the gazelle with a limp:
the devious little trapdoor spiders who post a "record" after a win, but hide it after a loss,
the odorous dung beetles who pad their records with wins for games they didn't post as picks,
the slimy snakes who shave losses off their record,
the jackals that play money line favorites (and not just any money line, but a -200 fav money line, and not just a -200 fav but a "LOCK!") and lose but still claim to be hitting at 100%,
the weasels that use weasel excuses like, "I haven't asked anyone to send me money" (well, of course not, not yet anyway, you have to actually win a few games before you can start attempting to solicit)
the blood-sucking mosquitos who post bogus lines like, "Villanova +2 vs S Hall" when 'Nova was -1 across the board at the time of the post, a 3 point swing for a fake 10 cents of juice added (I posted a play on S Hall that day, and they won; karma is a beautiful thing.)
He takes a lot of heat for it, even gets banned sometimes, but it's a worthy tradeoff if it results in the removal of ( and exposes the mental instability of) long time cheaters who should have been made to walk the plank years ago (sorry/not sorry fanboyz, he did cheat; a lot.)
He gets a lot of hate posts, but that mainly comes from the frauds he exposes, and their aliases and shills.
Every poster who comes here looking for someone to tail (which is the majority of people who visit) owes him a "Thank you" for pointing out the charlatans.
Or maybe it's just me - I don't like cheaters and frauds, posters who try to deceive forum members. So guys like 'BoutMyMoney always get an upvote from me.
