Max, yeah its a 50/50 game....You have to use a betting progression...If you can sit down and then get up after you made 20% of your buy in..then you have a chance at consistentley winning..Problem is guys go to casino with say 500$ and plan on making 25k.
The best advise I ever read or heard came from a chinese proverb and I don't even think it had anything to do with gambling...You can't ladle out the ocean with a sea shell...And from an old New England farmer "Perseverance and sweet oil, fxck a cat".

MY LORD?? Are you guys really on the same planet as i am??

No wonder i love poker tournaments it's full of people who think progression is some magic formula!!! All it does is tweak your variance! That's it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are the kind of guys who all in me with A4o and get lucky and beat my 99 and think that A4o is a quality hand when you were (i believe) and 8.5:1 underdog!!!

Seriously i wonder about some of you guys.

Think to yourself now... Do i think baccarat is beatable.

If you just thought "YES" then i suggest you remove yourself from voters registration in the 2004 election and get an education.

If you just thought "NO" then well done.

Hey reefa, let me tell you somthing..if you think you can beat any game of chance with flat betting you must be smoking yourself.
If you use a progression with discipline over a short sessions you can win....When i say progression I don't mean double up catch up either....I am talking a strict 50/50 game like craps, bacc. not poker.

Patriot,
That is his point, it is not a 50-50 game, it's more like 49-51 (in the house's favor. That is why it is unbeatable no matter your betting style.

Now thats funny...even at 51-49 odds for the house the game is still beatable.

max,
At a game with no memory, such as craps, with a fixed house advantage, IN THE LONG RUN, the game is never beatable.
Games of skill, or ones dependent on external factors are a different story, quit rehashing the same argument.

Green dobey, Craps and bacc. are thee most odds freindly games there are period, thats including sportsbetting by far...money mgt. in these games is the skill.Probabilities are always the same...In sports betting you not only have to lay 11/10 but you must beat the odds of the person who knows more about the game then either you or I will ever know.
Also the reason I say you must keep sessions short and goals reasonable is because you WILL lose overtime.

The best odds for the players are blackjack and texas hold'em poker. The worst odds would have to be carribean stud poker and let it ride. If you want a 50/50 game that would be war, the highest card wins and if dealer and player have the same then they double up and so on. Not really interest in baccarat, but i have been told you need a deep pocket in that game.

Patriot,
trust me I know the percentages as much as, or better than anyone on here.
Craps and baccarat can have low percentages, if you stay away from prop bets.
There are games that involve skill that have far lower odds.

WAR is not a 50-50 game! it is true highest card wins but in a tie you go to the WAR thing. Then if there is a tie on the War card ties lose. That is how the house gets the edge. It is like a 4.6% edge I think.

BJ,Poker,Spanish 21 have the best odds if you play perfect strategy, count cards and all that bullshit..but for as close to flipping a coin games, craps don't/pass line and bacc.
In craps 90% of all streaks never get past 4 and rarley go past 6....I play craps at foxwoods and Moheghan and have won about my last 5 times down there and before that was in LV and hit about 10 sessions in a row, with the systems I use,I don't give a shit what anybody says...I've driven 2 hours to foxwoods before and made what I went down there for in 30 minutes and left....Don't worry I have paid the price before I smartened up.

I watched 2 guys in a Canadian Casino play roulette. They were betting black and after each loss doubled their bets. I swear I had never seen more red and green numbers in my life. When they walked away broke (don't know how much since I am not that familiar with Canadian money) the board that keeps track of the numbers did not have 1 black number on it. I would have sworn it was rigged, and still wonder if somehow it might have been. I can still hear the 2 guys telling each other "the next one HAS to be black".

Trends in Bac and craps can make or break a bank. I have personally taken $100 and turned into $3k in less than 4 hours....and it has gone the other way. The trends in that game were unthinkable, 5 bankers in a row followed by 2 players and then back to 5 players in a row.(for example) I feel I have a better chance of winning in Bac than in BJ and Poker.

maxdemo. Ive done just about the same thing with baccarat many times. It would seem that the people who dont agree with us either have never played this game or dont have the patience to play it properly. Also, this game has resulted in alot of comps for me in the vegas casinos. One time, in a not so upscale hotel where they didnt know me I played 4 hands of baccarat totalling 3,000.00 then walked away with only a 200 profit and the pit boss tracked me down at the bar giving me two free dinners and a free hotel room for the weekend on a packed memorial holiday. I also agree on your feelings that you have a better chance to win than blackjack since all you have to do is go sit at a blackjack table and in most cases within 5 minutes you will hear someone bitchin about how the dealer is killing everyone.
Trytrytry,,war is another great game for the player if the player implements a "no war" policy on ties and surrenders half the bet everytime. Even the most upscale hotels have a 500 wagering limit on this game which should be an indication of the houses disadvantage if once again played properly.

I agree totally on the statement . I have never played a game where I could take $50-100 and make 1k real quick. Its taken me 5 years to truley appreciate thsi game and to know the swings that can happen. If you have gone into a casino and passed by a Bacarrat table, what do you notice?? You notice that a mjority of the players are Asian? I dont know about you but this has to be because of the better odds at a bacarrat table. I am not trying to be a racist...but Asians are pretty good gamblers.
