AR -- Huge Rams fan here, have some questions for you.

1. What is your assesment of Bulger at this stage? (I think he has spurts during a game where he is rattled and imcompetent - however, he is 13-3 or so as a starter, so you have to let him stay in there --- but do you think he is going to be able to make the big throws in the playoffs???

2. Defense: What is your assesment of the defense to this point? (I think they have greatly improved to this point - with Leonard Little being the heart of the defense - how do you feel about the mass of blitzes that they do - risk/reward being that they get to the QB often, but also give up the 20 yard pass play often?

3. Martz --- I think Martz finally started being a coach in the Chicago game - first game that HE won as a coach - and has also improved since the beginning of the season -

I don't think that this team is as good as the SB winner, but possibly equal to the team that lost to NE - this time around, if they can make it there - Martz will do a much better job coaching in the SB (and possibly set a record for using all of his challenges available!!!!)

Bulger sure doesnt look like the same guy he did earlier in the year. I do beleive he will make the big throws come playoff time. But I also beleive the Rams will be drafting a QB.

Defensively we do have our lapses. But we also create turnovers, and it seems when we do get these turnovers we are scoring. Thats now 2 weeks in a row now Aneas Williams has scored a touchdown. When our defense scores a touchdown we are hard to beat.

I love Martz. I know he looks like a egghead at times but he is what we are. It was his offense in 99 and its his offense now. I dont know of any team who wouldnt take him as thier offensive coordinator.

That Ram Def leads the league in takeaways with 40, 19 int. and 21 fum rec. This is one reason for their success. When they re-built this Def., it was to be around speed. They got a good speedy LB who can run with any back or receiver, in second round draft pick Pisa Tinoisamoa, from Hawaii. The only problem, I see the defense will have trouble is against teams that like to pound the ball. Last night, Cleveland proved that the weakness in this Ram Def and possibly the team ,is against the run. Cleveland was able to rush for over their avg of 88 yards, topping the 100+ rushing yards last night. I see that the Rams will have trouble against strong running teams as this type of Def personal may be quick, but overmatched in size and power.

CoCaptain --

You make some good points, however, I think the Rams were giving the run to Cleveland if they were to get by the blitz --

The difference of opinion I have is that the Rams can focus on stopping the run --- I live here in Minnesota, and all week before the game Tice was saying how they were going to pound the run and overpower the Rams -- Rams were able to do a decent job on stopping them (arguably one of the best O lines in the NFL) - and they also held Ahman Green in check. Although both of these games were at home.

I think the biggest thing for this team is home field advantage - I know that is huge for most teams, but teams like Tennessee, New England, etc. can win games on the road.

Philly will not let the Rams get it. They are my choice to make it to the Super Bowl this year.

If Philly gets home field - then as much as I hate to say it - they will probably be your NFC representative ---- but I think the last team they would want to face in the NFC Championship game would be the Rams.

Your right , if Philly gets home field. The Rams are done, if they got to go to Philly this time to play. Last year the lost at home to TB, but it was because of that Def. The Rams in no way possess a Def to shut down a team like Philly on the road. They are barely winning on the road by 2,3,and 6. Not to mention getting whooped by SF. Philly is simply rolling on an 8 game win streak. But more impressive is that they are beating teams on the road and at home by double digits. They are jelling right now, and are to me the most dangerous team out there today.

I can't argue with that at all -- but I will be highly anticipating seeing how Philly does this week at Miami -- should be a good gauge to see where they are.

Philly's last three games will definately challenge them as these teams are not a cake walk. The Rams may benefit from this , as their last three are alot easier opponents for them. 2 of which are at home , with only one on the road in Detroit. Pressure seems to be more on Philly.

OREN --

I never said that I was a Richkas backer - I am aware of all of the controversies.....but I do know that he is a Rams fan like myself --- and there is not too many of us out there! So I always value opinions.
