Like I was saying...
Top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin has separated from her husband, former congressman and repeat sexting offender Anthony Weiner, and
“Huma is making a very wise decision. I know Anthony Weiner well, and she will be far better off without him,” Mr. Trump said in a statement.
“I only worry for the country in that Hillary Clinton was careless and negligent in allowing Weiner to have such close proximity to highly classified information,” he continued. “Who knows what he learned and who he told? It’s just another example of Hillary Clinton’s bad judgment. It is possible that our country and its security have been greatly compromised by this.”
Bear in mind that this wisdom is coming from a thrice-married confirmed adulterer. Most women likely
would be better off without Anthony Weiner, but Donald Trump is pretty firmly in the same category as Weiner on that front.
Additionally, Clinton was careless and negligent in allowing Weiner close proximity to highly classified information by employing Huma Abedin? Coming from the man whose access, as a presidential nominee, to classified briefings has had many intelligence experts freaking out over his notorious tendency to run at the mouth, this is … an interesting little bit of projection. As
Armando asks, does this mean Trump is sharing those classified briefings with his wife, Melania? Or is it just women in possession of classified material who can't be trusted not to share it with their husbands, while men—even men with the verbal diarrhea of Donald Trump—are lockboxes?
Whatever Trump intended to imply—and he may not even know—it takes real creativity, and misogyny, to turn a Clinton aide’s marital problems into an attack on Clinton for something everyone knows is a Trump weakness.
