"Z" was an All-Star in 2005. This would be the year 2009, and Wallace is a 4-time All-Star that made the team as recently as 2008. Wallace got traded to the Pistons that season, and is the piece that put the Pistons over the top. He averaged 16 and 7 that season, and his athleticism really shut down Karl Malone.

Face it your frontcourt is a combination of a has been and a never was. I know it's tough to face the truth sometimes but deal with it.

Call it whatever you want, hard to argue with a front court that helped get to the best record in NBA this year.

Yep b/c that is what everyone will remember in 10 years. I always ask my buddies hey who had the best regular season record back in 2000?

You and you're buddies sit back and rattle of who won the championship every year? sounds like fun.

Haha okay well now that the realization has set in on this topic for you I am done with the petty personal attacks. Enjoy the weekend and especially Saturday night. It will be the last chance you get to watch Sideshow Bob and Z.

he didn't start most of the year and he's part of a FOUR man rotation in the playoffs. You're comparing him to guys that played 40+ minutes, which he was nowhere near is laughable. I'm glad that you know how to look up stats on espn.com, but there is a little more to it than that. The guy IS one of the best offensive rebounders and a SOLID defender and anyone that knows and watches basketball (me, not you) can see that. He reads the ball coming off the rim better than about any big man off. I never once said he was a "$14MM" player, just that he is a very solid role player. As for this series being over, I guess we'll see. Should be a tight game 6 and whoever makes more plays down the stretch will win. I'd rather be in the Cavs position than the Magic though, b/c the pressure is on them to win Game 6 otherwise this series is OVER. And Lebron is twice as good as anyone else on that court so I'd rather have him taking a last second shot than the Gorilla or the Dirty Turk. I personally think the Cavs squeeze out the W and then take the series.

Sorry, I stoped arguing basketball when you didn't understand why Varajeo was in the game only to get Howard to foul out.

Somebody's been drinking too much haterade. If he agitates you that much, imagine what he does to the players on the court.

I really hope you enjoyed watching the freak drop 40 on that weak ass frontline. Congrats on having the most regular season wins. I am sure that everyone in the Cleveland lockerroom is satisfied.

great call bjh21

i love reading opinions on this thread and valid ones such as yours, its just a shame that people call you out on it and you were completely dead on the money, now no one is saying anything. Anyways some people just dont back it up is all im saying. I just wish all the Varajeo lovers would say something now.

Great call their frontline is pathetic. Z is a joke and although i like wallace youre asking him to do too much in this series against dwight (wallace is getting up there in age)
"

again props on the call

Thanks it was great watching people question whether or not I knew anything about basketball while they are claiming that Varejao is this up and coming post player.

I cannot wait for the finals to begin. This will be a great series as well.

just because the cavs lost doesnt mean that varejao is terrible.... he's a role player, he's obviously not a superstar but he's one of those guys who can go in and give you quality minutes when it comes to getting his hands on the basketball. judging by the comments youve made in this thread, i wouldnt imagine that youd understand anything about that.

if you want stats...

the cavs score 108.3 points per 48 minutes with varejao on the court... compared to 106.7 per 48 when he's not. they give up 104.2 points per 48 when he's on, and give up 109.1 per 48 when he's off. right there you can see that he's helping the team on both sides of the court.

the cavs are +4.2 points per 48 when he's on the court and -2.4 when he's off. when he's on the court.

he's known for his offensive rebounding and his high energy style of play. the cavs offensive rebounding is up by 3.6% when he's on the court compared to when he's not and are +2turnovers forced per 48 minutes when he's on the court.

the only major negative impact i see is that the cavs fg percentage is down 1.3% when he's on the court compared to when he's off.. obviously he's not a great offensive player but he does the dirty work that the cavs need him to do.

Duke - good points. Don't waste your time w/ this assclown, he doesn't know anything about hoops. He takes it from behind while his boyfriend sports a Dwight Jersey uni and a Superman cape.

yea dont even bother arguing gogolak, they dont understand strategy or varajeos purpose in the game, its obvious they have never played basketball before only watched

varajeo gets on my nevers too but the guy is good at drawing a foul and is a hustler, he isnt a dirty player just in there to do the dirty work
