An argument in favor of Uruguay or against Colombia?

Tempted to pound Colombia, but this just looks too easy...what gives? Anyone have an objective analysis of Uruguay w/o Suarez, or an argument against Colombia? Sometimes, they are in fact too easy (like Colombia/Japan) but there is so much love for Colombia today, makes me hesitant. Also goes against the fact that I like to play ON teams in the first game without their superstar, as they usually give an extra effort...although this may not apply to soccer like it often does to NBA and NFL (Uruguay vs. Costa Rica comes to mind).

Anyone got some analysis on this one? Seems like everyone and their mother already has sent Colombia onto the round of 8.

this is a classic no bet for me. If I bet Colombia and uruguay wins Ill feel stupid jumping all over Suarez not being in, if I bet Uruguay and they lose ill feel even dumber having bet the worse team on paper without their star. Feels like im destined to lose either way

I have Colombia paired with this Chile/Brazil draw in a parlay, so I don't need anymore action given my 7/1 odds on the parlay. However, I feel alot like you on this one. I think Colombia wins this match with or without Suarez going for Uruguay. Colombia is a cohesive unit, and they are playing with purpose so far in this World Cup. Uruguay is suspect on the back line and especially in central defense. Costa Rica exposed this in the first match, and England squandered their abundance of scoring chances in the second match. Italy's methodical style of play doesn't fair well against South American teams and they were playing with 10 men for the better part of the second half, so I don't see Uruguay's clean sheet as being a victory on the back end. Really, Uruguay was lucky to get away with 3 points against the short-handed squad. Colombia has scored in 5 of 6 halves played in the 3 matches of group play.

I realize your question is to ask for an argument against Colombia, but my only one is the line being too small for the amount of support.

I may play a few props, good luck.

I think thats the play im gonna go with too, take the under and just watch them play ugly. Uruguay isnt opening up with no Suarez so theyll throw everybody behind the ball is my thinking.

Only three games have have had the total goals drop from opening so far in tourney they all went U2.25.

Colombia has now scored in 7 of 8 halves played. A huge day for me, played Colombia 1H at +150 and hit that huge parlay. Hope everyone bet Colombia or stayed away. Cheers.
